Thank you for clearing it up, I read the rules once more and was delighted to find I won't have to start again - though next time I'd buy the expensive camera asap =]

I have two rules questions:

1. Best friends - Does a spouse count as a best friend? I can no longer see their exact "friendship" title, but if I sort the list, and the spouse is between two other "best friends", does that mean they have the required level?

2. Photographs - if we want to include photographs in the museum value, do we have to have them for every heir and age, like with the portraits?

1. Spouses can be best friends if their relationship is as high as is needed for best friends.

2. You don't need to have photos for every stage of life. Lord knows that I've forgotten plenty. :P

Into The Future Updates:

- Traveling is banned until the 2nd generation becomes Young Adult. Travel includes going to University to get a degree or Time Travel (Into the Future).
- The Quantum Power Chamber (Hibernation Chamber) is banned.
- Plumbots are banned.

Clarification for whenever I get around to doing another, and since I don't have ITF installed yet due to a challenge file: Are Plumbots treated the same as Simbots? As in, make them and then promptly kick them out? Mostly for any associated skill challenges or lifetime wish or the legacy statue.

Yeah I have no issue with players treating Plumbots the same as Simbots — making them and then giving them the boot. Let's see what other team members say too.

I haven't installed into the future yet so I am not up to speed on gameplay. Does anyone know if plumbots are required to complete a skill challenge,as this was why simbots were allowed. If they are not required for a challenge then I see no reason to have them taking up a spot in the house.
Just realised I have no clue if they do take up a space in the house and will wait for people who actually have the expansion pack installed to have an opinion  ;)

I have my eyes on Grim's Ghastly Hallow as there is one premium item that interested me. I haven't get it yet, but plan to.

Can team look after this Door of Life and Death, it's safe to use in Dynasty? There's Reincarnate option and Simulate Genetic Merger. Thanks ;D

I personally do not like this for the immortal dynasty challenge. Non heirs are not permitted to extend their lives in anyway so that is a big fat no on that score. As for the genetic merger goes that is a big no no. All heirs have to be the result of a natural pregnancy occuring between two Sims in the dynasty house. Except for generation seven who can reproduce without moving in a spouse*still has to be a natural pregnancy*

I don't have the Door of Life and Death either, but I don't see why a flat-ban on Simulate Genetic Merger would be necessary. As long as the child resulting from that isn't an heir, I don't see why it can't be used. We already allow adoption, the Clone Voucher, and cloning sims using the Science skill from University Life.

Though banning Reincarnation sounds fine to me.

As for Plumbots, I also don't have ITF, but from Carl's guide on the Bot-Making skill, none of the challenges seem to necessitate making Plumbots. If someone who actually has the EP can correct me, please do.

On the subject of plumbots, making them is a skill, but none of the challenges require plumbots themselves. That said, the easiest and quickest way (from my experience) to max the skill is to make a bunch of plumbots and upgrade their trait chips, which will help aid two of the three skill challenges. I'm going to play with it a bit after work and see if it's possible to max the skill without making any plumbots.

I thought there was a career that involved the plumbots? I can't find it now, but I thought I saw mention of that.

I've gotta go unhide the disk and install it tonight. :-\

It's a self-employment career.

Ah, thank you very much! I thought I was losing my mind lol

My hope, then, is that it's still viable as a career, since they'd still be (presumably) handled simbot style - build and boot.
