The Sims 3 Immortal Dynasty Challenge

If they take up one of the 3 standard opportunity slots (career/skill/special), then they do count, except for Oh My Ghost opp which is banned for this dynasty.  Looks like your Group Science Project takes up the career slot, so that will count.  The "Enroll in University" opp, does it appear on one of those slot?  If yes, then you can count it.  Opps that appear on the university op slots, those will not count.

Thanks! I'll have someone take the aptitude test when my sims get back from uni and see what panel that one goes into. I think it was career, but I'll double-check.

I started in Starlight Shores, bought the right lot, and was left with 8308 simoleans. I followed the familyfunds instructions, pressed enter and nothing happened. The cheat screen disappeared, but I was left with the same amount of simoleans. What should I do?

Did you enable testingcheats? Type in your family's name correctly?

Can you try again?  Did you enter your household last name?  Example:  if my household last name is Nutella, this is what I will be doing.

Press Command-Shift-C to open to cheats panel (screen will gray)
Type testingcheatsenabled true, then Return/Enter

Press Command-Shift-C to open to cheats panel (screen will gray) again
Type familyfunds Nutella 1800, then Return/Enter
*** at this point you should see your household funds go down to 1800 ***

Yes, I tried again. I put the household name and amount in brackets like it does in the first post. Will try another time without brackets.

I have a problem. I am trying to get one of my heirs to supermax social networking, but one of the skill challenges isn't working or more specifically the interaction won't complete fully. It is the Professional Greeter skill challenge and to complete it you need to find 25 sims using the sim finder app. So I go into the app & 'find sim' but nothing happens, no one comes to her house, which is what should happen, no one appears in her contact list & in the skill journal it doesn't change the number  of sims found (which is zero). Should I change the supermax or do you guys have any suggestions to help. Thanks

Try putting in some traits, age, gender information in your sim finder app.  See if that works.

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately it didn't work, I tried all of them filled in, some of them, most or only a few but to no avail.

Umm... I'm not sure, I'll try tomorrow with one of the spares.

Another thing that might help:  Close your sims game, clear your cache (package files, world cache, thumbnails, DCCache), then restart your game.

This happens to me as well under different game conditions. I think I've succeeded once in getting someone to show up--usually they don't.

I've tried it a few times, but only had it work once. Sim friend showed up, then promptly fled.
