You might just be a life-saver. Do I have to get the greenlight from a higher-up first, though?

Do I qualify? ;)

You have the green light.

I hope!

Thank you so much, by the way. Currently loading my copy to see if this fix will do it for me.

EDIT: Hurrah! My dynasty's back! Thank a million to Turoskel for the advice. I'll give you a shoutout when/if I actually post my story.

Ambrosia must be made from homegrown Life Fruit and caught deathfish. Ingredients are allowed to be cloned but only if the sample came from a homegrown plant or caught fish.

If your cat catches the deathfish, does that count as caught deathfish, or does it need to be caught by a sim? I've just realized I'm nowhere near my fisher-sims being able to catch deathfish yet and we are on the first day of autumn, and, of course, it decided to freeze over the lakes on this first day.

Cat-caught deathfish is fine. I think that's what Rica largely relied on.

Yes. Rica used one in her own Dynasty (I'm pretty sure).

I'm a little worried about using my backup since it was five saves in a row that had that error. I'm hovering over Save P-20 in the screenshot, but all the ones back to P-15 had the same error. I'll see if it works, though.

EDIT: No dice. I tried replacing the files in a copy of my most recent save with the files from my most recent save and then from my most recent working save, and the file still can't be opened. Bummer. Thanks for the advice, though.

When I have a file I am afraid something might happen to it if i change the backup file, i copy it to a separate file on my desktop, so if something happens i have the old files still.

I seem to have lost my founder :S They were going on a family trip and when they all got in the car, her portrait vanished from the side panel. I've done a save as, quit and cleared caches which hasn't helped. The strange thing is she still appears in the household picture on the main menu.

Can I go back to a previous save to get her back?
From the moment I fell down that rabbit hole I've been told what I must do and who I must be. I've been shrunk, stretched, scratched and stuffed into a teapot. I've been accused of being Alice, and of not being Alice, but this is my dream. I'll decide where it goes from here.

So, for some reason, I can't get either of my self-employed careers, alchemy and riding, to fire. It doesn't matter how high the skill is, the option to register isn't coming up in any of my game files. Does anyone have any idea of what's going on?

How are you trying to get the option to fire. Have you tried using the computer to search for jobs and clicking on the register as self employed. It has been awhile but I seem to recall that was the only way I could register as self employed.
