I accidentally hit "Rant About Death" with the spouse of my second generation, and she "died" and was brought back to life without losing career, relationships, or skills. Does this violate dynasty rules, considering that she was never in true danger of dying?

That's fine but never choose that option again.

Trust me, I won't! Now that I'm recovered, maybe I'll go skydiving.

If only. I've been waiting for them to release the skydiving simulator. That was one of the best items from the Sims 1.

I'm not sure what region you must be to download (tried UK, US and NZ) but there's the Ford Focus Thrill Seeker Pack

Had to switch to Canada and it said that.

A question occurred to me about intentionally causing death, I'm sorry if it has already been asked . . . does randomly getting the fatal Jelly Bean count? Just for future reference :)

It depends on how random it is.   Did you make the Sim do it or did they do it on their own?

No no it hasn't to me, I just want to be aware for when I work up the motivation to attempt an ID again. I suppose, to clarify my question: Is it okay for a sim to eat from the Jelly Bean bush, and be unfortunate enough to eat the fatal bean, since it's out of my control, Because the Jelly Beans are random?
Actually reading that back I don't know if that clarifies it, but I'm kinda tired right now :S

Is there any restriction for Immortals when it come to choosing a new trait? This is related to Uni (for 2nd Immortal) and social group things. I just want to make sure. Thanks!

I believe that the only restriction on that is "Once you chose it, you can't change it".

Zyffyr is correct - traits cannot be changed, but there are no restrictions when choosing it for the Immortal Dynasty.

I believe the ruling on the Jelly Bean bush is that it is ok to eat a jelly bean, as long as you aren't queuing up the action in a deliberate attempt to kill the sim. (Y'know, the one sim that just won't die, and you can't bring in the next generation until that sim dies? Yeah, can't jellybean queue him in hopes of a terrible death ;D)

Yeah letting them eat one is ok.  Queuing it up multiple times is attempted murder.

Pam almost didn't for her immortal dynasty.  If that was her first one.  I don't remember if it is.  I know it's her second Townie.

Yes, the one I wrote here was my first attempt. The 8th generation gave me a scare because I didn't know a lot about the writing career and didn't guide Forest very well. He had to go through the Journalist career at the last minute. It was tense waiting to see if level 10 or Grim would arrive first!

Wow there has been alot of new things!! When I failed for the 5th time in a row, I decided to give it a rest for awhile.

That just sounds funny! Attempted murder by Jelly beans.  ;D

I remember that! We were all crossing our fingers and holding our breath for Forest!!
