Thank you for your answer, Ricalynn, sorry for these questions, but I want to make sure I understand it properly. :)

So if I wanted to put a gypsy wagon on a property I've purchased for one of my immortals, I'd need to purchase a second property for that sim and a building for that sim in order for him/her to meet the property/building requirements for immortality?

If you put the wagon on a property for a Sim that is already an immortal, you've failed because they've lost their requirement property.     If you buy a property for an heir (immortal to be) and place the wagon on it, you've spent no money and still need to buy a building and property.  Which is why we say you can save the wagon from Moonlight Falls to ease up on the confusion.     When your Sim is about to eat ambrosia, count the number of lots you own in the town and make sure you see two more blue circles than the last time you looked.  Also make sure they have 3 stars or they don't count.

Is that better?

Also - I think it's great that you're asking questions because this means we're 100% clear for everyone, not just you and me.  ;D

I once had an insane fishing Sim eat all 52 garlic cloves in her inventory while I wasn't watching her.

How bad was the bad breath debuff? :P

I'm fairly sure that this has been asked before (I may have asked it before, I forget), but death flowers are not compulsory, correct? Just a nice thing to do to make sure you don't fail?

I've gathered that only Ambrosia is Compulsory, but Death flowers are very good for those already immortalized.

You don't have to have death flowers but in case you forget to feed your Sims ambrosia for 2 weeks, they're a nice safety net.    Artie, my founder,  has actually died 3 times but he has 22 death flowers in his inventory so he's good for a while more.

Oh and luckily the debuff doesn't stack or I'd have made a moodlet manager the next purchase.

Yes, much better. :) I have never placed the wagon on a property before, so I'm really just talking theoretically. I think I now see why it doesn't count though. Let me see if I've got it correct now. Sim buys a property and puts the gypsy wagon on it. game says danger danger Will Robinson, owning land and a rabbithole building doesn't compute. I'll automagically get you to sell the property. Your targeted immortal gets the money back, and still has to buy a property and a building to meet requirements.

I'm now doing my best to keep properties and buildings the way they are originally on the maps, with the exception of the dynasty lot in Sunset Valley which comes with a riding place on it instead of it being empty for my dynasty family.

Right.  That's exactly how it works.

Just so you know though - buildings that are auto placed like the fire station can be placed on new lots if you need the lot they are on for something else.  Like placing the smaller equestrian center next to Christopher Steel's house and the fire station next to the Frios.  This way it's easier to fit in lots from other EPs better since the computer just picks places at random like the junkyard being put in that huge lot at the end of Pinochle.

So....If one were to buy the library and place the rabbit hole building - The Vault - would you then need to still buy another property because it would be like the gypsy caravan? Plus, would making a park into a fairy park and adding the Arbotoreum, would that do the same thing?

Yes.   Adding any rabbit hole that is not a mausoleum will automatically make you forfeit ownership of the property.  If you don't own it, it can't count towards your requirements.

OK so I'm getting back into my dynasty following the release of SN, and I can't find for sure in the thread any info about the use of alchemy potions for immortals.  Aside from the life extending potions, are there any other potions banned from use?

Life state elixers for genies, fairies and werewolves are banned because they are not allowed in the household....ALthough you probably could make them to sell to the consignment store.

I also suppose you could make them and throw them at sims who you aren't going to have in your household. In order to help with supermaxing alchemy.

Something just occurred to me that could benefit Immortal Dynasty players. With Supernatural you gain the ability to ask someone to Forsake Vampire (the Fae, Werewolf, etc). So that perfect spouse who became a vampire can still be reachable!

I thought the rule was that if they've been an occult at all, they're ineligible for all future spouses.

If you can change them before they enter the household, they can join the household. The "ask to forsake x powers" usually doesn't work, but throwing a potent cure elixir at them before moving them in is totally kosher by the immortal dynasty rules. Rica confirmed this some pages back when I asked about it.
