I keep on having an issue, regardless of neighbourhood or whether my founder is male or female. Let me explain what happens ...

I fail 9 times out of 10 whenever my Founder Hits the Adult stage. My founder continuously rolls up going through a Mid life crisis (automatically from the game and then he/she gets different coloured Wants associated with that), which seems to be against the rules. I therefore restart in the hope that my Founder won't roll that up ... as I said 9 times out of 10 the founder rolls up a mid life crisis whenever he/she becomes an adult. On the 1 or 2 times that hasn't happened, my 2nd generation to be immortal tends to roll up a mid life crisis. On the one occasion that didn't happen, and I managed to get a third generation targeted immortal to Adult, that happened to that sim (ie she rolled up a Mid Life Crisis on becoming an Adult). It seems to be rather unfair to be failing on an automatic game function. rather than something I've been doing that's dumb, and yes, I've done lots of things that are dumb.

There are others who have completed this challenge, so it makes me think that I'm missing out on something or not understanding the rules of the challenge properly. I know that there is also a LTR called Mid Life Crisis and I never take that on. Anyway, I hope that someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong. I'm on the verge of giving up.

The Mid-Life Crisis Lfetime Reward is what's banned. The Mid-Life Crisis caused by Generations is something the player can't control and is not banned. It's not a fail at all.

Edit, on re-reading, I somehow missed out the word 'Reward' after 'Mid-Life Crisis'.

I know this has come up before but I'm a little unsure on the ruling. I sometimes forget my paintings for an immortal, and I'd like to know the ruling regarding their status before age up.

Example:
My Generation 2 has his teen portrait started on his birthday, but the painter is unable to complete it before he physically ages up. He completes it afterwards. Would this invalidate my HOF?

(This hasn't happened to me, but I think I cut it fine sometimes. I'd like to know the lee-way, in case such a situation happens.)

All museum peices have to be completed before the Sim ages up.

In Colt's Return, Colby is super maxing logic, he has put in way over 20 hours tutoring children, but its not logging it in the skill journal. All he needs is that and ranked chess master to complete it. The ranked part is hard enough because everyone is at work all the time.

What does it show in his skill journal under number of hours spent tutoring children?  And you're talking about the tutoring action that's under friendly for child stage children only right?   If his skill journal shows the hours but the skill challenge isnt completing, it should be ok.

It's showing 0 in the journal. Hmmm in the friendly tab?? I didn't look there. The  "tutor in" he was using was in the reg menu when you click on the sim. i.e. friendly, mean, special, tutor in, etc. I'll have to check out the friendly tab in the morning.

"Tutor in.." is when you teach another Sim a skill like logic or guitar and that's not the one that counts for tutoring children.  Tutoring Children is under the Friendly options.  Unless you are family-oriented, it only works on child stage Sims and they can't have an A in school.

Thanks!   I just learned some good news though.  You can tutor Teens as well.  And it counts for the skill challenge to help with supermaxing.

Remember that in order to qualify for HOF, you need to be fully updated to the current patch.  As of today, there is a new patch (1.39) that is specifically released to handle the zombie problems people were having by saving during a full moon.   This will not cure previous games but will work for all new save games.
