The Sims 3 Immortal Dynasty Challenge

Just amazing.

I have attempted this challenge well over 30 times. Failed every time. This time my founder had just completed the final part - maxed his career. As he was making the Ambrosia, Grim shows up.I guess I probably could have put a death flower in his inventory once he had completed it, but hindsight is 20/20. He was exactly 90 days.

At one point I was thinking I could write "50 ways to Doom Your Dynasty" (like the old Paul Simon song). But I think this one tops them all.

Wow, and here I thought the 4 times I've failed was bad! This challenge is very, well challenging lol. But I'm sure finishing it will be awesome, if I ever do lol. Good luck, and I know you can do it!!

Just a quick clarification: since ghosts are now playable from the start, when they become eligable to eat the ambrosia I believe they will become human. Since they are allowed to eat it I assume this is ok?

Just asking because I know non-immortal ghosts cannot eat ambrosia at all especially since they would be cheating death that way

Yes that's fine because that's just what happens when a ghost eats ambrosia and ambrosia is perfectly safe once the heir/founder as earned the right to eat it no matter what race they started as.

Seeing as the Fortune Teller's Caravan has the "Become a Partner" option, does it qualify as a business? Just wanted to make sure!

How would I go about placing the Fortune Teller's Caravan in my world without breaking the rules? My understanding was that it is a world  object and not a community lot.

If you purchase a property, you can go to "Build On This Lot" and it'll be there under Community Objects.

One thing though if you place a rabbit hole that property will be sold and no longer yours.

So could I purchase an empty lot, place the caravan on it and use for the career? My understanding is that I would have to purchase another property and upgrade it for the immortal's requirements.

You still have to purchase and upgrade a property plus a business, but if you place a rabbit hole on a purchased property, it gets sold and you lose your dynasty requirement and you would have to purchase another one and upgrade it, too.  If you did it to a property of someone who was already immortal you would nullify their immortality and lose HOF status.

You cannot buy an empty lot because empty lots are not for sale in game. 

Let me confirm with Metro about allowing you to save the caravan lot from Moonlight Falls to be placed elsewhere.

For players who are looking to add the Arboretum, Gypsy Wagon and Vault of Antiquity, it is an authorized use of Edit Town to save the unchanged lots from Moonlight Falls into your community bin and then place them in other towns.    Or if you don't want to do that, Metro has approved of a player using Edit Town to go to an already zoned lot and placing these items there.   Just remember that placing these items will make it so the lot is no longer a purchasable property.    Example: In Sunset Valley, you could place the gypsy wagon behind City Hall on it's lot or you could place it at Pinochle Pond.   Placing it at Pinochle Pond means that you will no longer be able to use that fishing spot as a dynasty property requirement but the wagon can be used as a dynasty building requirement.
