I think there might be some confusion about the best friend requirement because there was a stricter requirement in place for the Baby Boomer challenge in 2011? That definitely had a rule that if Sim A claimed, say, Bella Bachelor as their best friend for the challenge requirement, nobody else could even *be* best friends with Bella Bachelor. My understanding is that for purposes of this challenge, the immortals need non-overlapping lists of "claimed" best friends. If you happen to also be best friends with someone on your parent's list, that's okay, you just can't claim that person for your own list.

I think a way to remember it is that each Immortal must have a list of 6 names. A Sim can only have their name on one of those 8 lists of 6 sims.

I think the rule simply goes like this:

Everybody can befriend everybody/anybody/anything in the world at any given time.
But 8 immortals should claim 8*6=48 different friends for ambrosia, six names each.
Without overlap in names claimed, not in Sims befriended.

upd. samoht04 was faster  ;D

Thanks ratchie, cathyknits, samoth and Siergiej, that's exactly how I have understood the rule before. But Metro's sentence "but 7-10 can be shared as long as those BF are not claimed by others for their Ambrosia" seems to me suggest that the claimed BFs cannot be best friends with anyone else. But since I am not English speaking I may be reading it completely wrong.

I'm trying to remember but I can't, since it's been so long since I've put LN clubs in a town for a Dynasty. I want to put the Brightmore down in Starlight Shores and there is a Residential Lot that is a 40x38 whereas the Brightmore is 40x32 I think. Can I rezone that Empty Residential Lot to be a Danceclub?

Also do the same for the No Visitors allowed 60x60 Lot? Probably put the Casino or the Studio there.

Yes, that's fine.

When is a good time to start posting your immortal dynasty story? I was thinking of posting it, and now i am on generation two. I already asked this question, but didn't get an answer, so maybe in this topic someone will give me some advice.

Whenever you're ready. I think it's best to be further ahead in game than where your last chapter ended, (as in when you update that's not where you are in game). Most people start it the moment they start their Dynasty or leave it like you did for a Generation or two.

Like samoht04 said, whenever you're ready.  If this is your first Sims 3 story, it may take awhile for you to find your own style.  I tend to update my chapters as I play the game.  I mean, my game is never very far ahead of my story.  If I let it get too far ahead, I find that I lose interest in the story writing part.  So, I like to write a chapter while it's still fresh and exciting in my head.

I'm sorry your other question didn't get answered.

@Tin you asked the question about dynasty stories in this thread http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/forum/index.php/topic,10280.msg203758.html#msg203758 and discusion about dynasties would have been off topic for that thread which is most probably why your question was not answered. So sorry about that. The descion on when to start telling your dynasty is a personal choice but I personally prefer to have at least the first proper chapter ready to post.I don't know about anybody else but I find it irritating to open a story thread only to find a reserved chapters post and no story.

In order to prevent me from unknowingly/unwittingly stuffing things up again in this challenge, would someone please advise whether or not the 'Animal Expert' Life Time Want is allowed?

Except for Age Freeze and Young again potion, I believe you are correct.

The blurb on Animal Expert says that it "makes dogs, cats and horses live much longer lives" and it says similar things about animals kept in terrariums and birds as well, so that made me wonder.

Are you satisfied at the moment with the information you've gotten about it?
