Alright. That money will go to good use. Either in buying my founder his properties or adding onto their house. Probably the former.

And medium size to not get too much monetary increase.

Do they have to be Medium size? In a previous dynasty (aborted due to bugs, I think), I ended up painting large pictures. I don't think I've read anything anywhere that says they MUST be Medium - am I wrong?

Portraits don't have to be medium sized.

Okay, I've been thinking about starting a dynasty. :o

Are there any tips for newcomers? I know there are some probably buried somewhere, but I'm not feeling up for going through 160 pages of questions. :P

Hey guys I'm taking an extended hiatus... again. I'm out of ideas to build houses and I don't have as much fun designing homes like I used to; it feels more like a chore. So that's where I'll be, I will probably be back sometime. :P

Tips:
Get Agnes in ASAP. Make sure to marry her away from her house (to get car)
If you just want to finish, don't worry about pictures and sculptures. Focus on all the requirements.
Use the spreadsheet.
Have a definite plan from the start.
Watch them carefully or always give them something to make sure they don't accidentally lose the dynasty.

Don't SuperMax Charisma. Use it as a "free skill" for all the immortals so they have their 6 BF's done quickly.

Portraits don't have to be medium sized.

Then how do you get portraits that aren't medium sized? When I click portrait it just pulls up a list of people I can paint a portrait of. There's nothing about the size. And I thought we had to use the portrait feature and NOT do a still life picture.

I think you press "I" and the size will change. (You must be in the view that has the green central box)

Oh, cool. Learn something every day and that's the beauty of Sims. You can ages playing it and still find something new every now and then.

This is correct.  It has to be the portrait option, not the still life.

That's good to hear in that I didn't waste time getting people to level 7 in Painting.

And I'm this close to my first immortal. I've got my career, the LTW, the LTR's, the opportunities, YA, and adult portraits. I've got two of the three cooking challenges done. I just need 20 more meals prepared. I also need 5 best friends right now. Might go up to 6 if his wife dies before he's able to eat ambrosia. But I have all of the ingredients for it and I might have him make it if his wife dies before he gets all of his best friends. And his wife is due to die any day. So his HER father. He's currently at 110 days old. And he's NOT a vegetarian and has not done any of the athletic challenges. He's got 0 in Athletic.

I'm not super good when it comes to keeping friends so I put it off and I think I might have put it off too long. But I should be fine. He's friendly and with a charisma skill learned, I should be good.

Is it okay to go back to a previous save, as my 6th gen aged from child straight to YA? (Or is there a way I can fix it without doing that?)

Wait for metro to say officially but yeah you probably can.
And you might be able to edit in CAS them to be a child, but metro would have to allow that.
