I'm thinking of taking the plunge and trying a Dynasty game, but I have a few questions on things that I'm a bit confused on after rereading the rules a couple of times.

The rules allow for addition of Late Night content into neighborhoods that don't have it, like Sunset Valley.  Can I use the custom clubs/bars I've built for this, or do I have to try and squeeze the Bridgeport ones and/or bonus registration clubs in?  I really prefer my smaller, elevator-less clubs if I can use them since they're on 20x30 or 30x40 lot sizes.  There aren't any cheats or unfair advantages on them, aside from maybe the Chinese incense burners in my fusion lounge, but I can go on the honor system and not light them if they're a problem.

I read somewhere earlier on in this thread that adding lots is out because it's an edit town feature, but as far as I know, there's no way to put the Plumbbob Pictures Backlot in Sunset Valley without it.  Is creating a lot for that an exception to that rule?  I can live without the film career, but I would like to know so I can plan.  I'm guessing I'm also not allowed to move the default positions of the Ambitions lots (I really hate how they waste that 40x40 lot with the junkyard in the dead center!) like I normally do in my games, but I wanted to ask on the off chance that this was something the rules were flexible on.

Can a laundromat be added to Sunset Valley and Riverview? Twinbrook has one, but it's one of the Ambitions lots not placed in the other towns.  What about the default playground that came with Generations?

Photography is completely bugged in my game after the last patch, but that's only optional and not a requirement, correct?

Thanks in advance! :)

Metro and/or Pam will need to respond to some of these questions.  While we're waiting, I'll throw in my 2 cents worth and try to answer the questions I'm reasonably sure of.

Chronic, I don't know about using Edit Town to replace lots.  That would be Metro's call.  I think I remember the question coming up before but I'm not going to comb the almost-300 pages of this thread looking for it (if you want to, be my guest  ;D ).  I think Metro's reply last time was that it wasn't necessary to have all the bars in order to take advantage of the LN content and that people could make do with whatever they can fit in.

Dagger, I'm not sure if you are seriously suggesting that one of your heirs would be a clone?  I would draw your attention to the following rule:
Quote
•All potential immortals must result from natural pregnancies of Sims living in the Dynasty house. Non-immortals may adopt if they choose to do so.
It seems to me that would rule out clones as potential heirs.

Cheezey, your questions about edit town, laundromat, etc would need to be answered by Metro or Pam.  I think it's come up before but can't remember.  As for photography, yes, it's optional.

Schip sorry I wasn't serious. I should've phrased it differently. I just thought it would be a cool idea. sort of like Aeon Flux.

I can answer one question for you Cheezey - the new playground for Generations cannot be put in via a message from Pam about 3 pages back.  I asked and she said no.

Another thing I know for certain is that you have to use the default buildings for clubs and film studio.

@Chronic - You can fit the Grind over by Aggie's house as it only needs a 40 x 30 lot.  I'm waiting for Metro to answer about the other stuff but of all the people I've seen put in the buildings including in the Dreamweaver Dynasty - the lots had to be added to place the buildings.  And they are all over in the hills not just on that one road.  One was across from the Goth Mansion.

Thank you for the answers. I had a feeling the playground would be a no go, but I must've missed your previous post about that.  I've read the first fifty-something pages of this thread, and I read back about ten from this last page, but that's all in the span of a day or so, so it's entirely possible that my mind is missing stuff at this point from trying to take it all in.

I won't place anything until I hear from Metro and/or Pam.  I imagine my founder is going to be too busy for partying at clubs anyway!

This is a traveling bug, I heard it happened in another dynasty, I think?
The only way to fix it is to go back to a previous save.

Thanks Metro. I tried going back to a previous save and this is what's happening when I come back from china. So I guess I'm going to have to start over.

Uhh.. TallStar. Lol.
If it's happening after China, you could just not go to China.

Are you playing a legacy or an immortal dynasty?  They are two different things.

I just read through the last few pages.  The answers given by others look good to me.  I'll try to address the rest of it.

1. You may use the World Editor to add and change lots in order to place the bars from Late Night.  This is one of the exceptions for using Edit Town.

2. You must use the same buildings that are found in Bridgeport.  No other buildings are allowed, either from the bin or ones you've built.  I wasn't able to fit all of the bars into Sunset Valley, but I got enough of them that I was able to complete the Mixology skill and all related journal challenges.

3. The Laundromat may be added to any town.

4. If the Logic skill journal challenges have changed, you'll have to complete everything that is currently part of the journal to SuperMax Logic.

Unfortunately I saved in China. so yeah. It's not possible to not come home from China.

You might still be able to retrieve a previous save.  Check this thread for instructions.

If I've missed anything, let me know and I'll give some more answers.  Thanks for your patience while Metro is on vacation.
