Ah No, It was mainly me wondering if the fact that the Adults would become unplayable for 2 Days would be allowed or not.

Again, I have no problem with that. Time moves on, so if anything, you'd be making things a little more difficult for yourself.

My Second Generation aged up to YA so I promptly took him and the founder to China. After I saved there My Founder lost all his SV contacts. The only people it says he knows are the 2nd Gen and a random person I made friends with. Has anyone had this happen to them? If so is there a fix? because I'm thinking it's going to take some time to get a few more BFs for the challenge for him to eat Ambrosia.

Has the founder returned to Sunset Valley yet?  If not, check his contacts when he gets back home and see if they've come back.  Contact panels can get messed up while on vacation, but generally return to normal when your Sim goes back home.

Ok I'm new and I joined because I wanted to attempt to complete an Immortal Dynasty. I've got some good ideas from other people's stories and since now I always play with my needs static I think this will really be fun. I'm up for the challenge of no cheating. I found this site on accident and I'm so glad I did but like others I have questions about the challenge and I'm sorry I really did try to read through the 277 pages for my answers but I gave up... so forgive me if I'm repeating anything.

My main thing is the museum... is this a separate building you build manually to add things to? Or is this like the mausoleum in the sense that it is a building you can buy and place on a lot? How do you buy a museum for your family on the computer? I know you can buy/upgrade properties and buildings, no confusion there. Just not sure what this whole museum thing is about exactly. Or can your museum just be a big room in your main house? So confused.

I'm sure I will have more questions! LoL. For now I'm off to post in the introduction section and start my dynasty! Yay!

Welcome Bakey! The museum can be anything, an empty room or just a wall, as long as the portraits and etc. are on display somewhere.

Hello there people , thumbs up for the challenge.  that's great. I   had a lot of time to have fun with sims, like that.

Started a new challenge/family right away when i got generations*  and i am already in 3rd generation (teen stage)

I know i am disqualified alrdy but i love small towns and i play for my personal fun .  i play in another neighbourhood cause i am pretty bored with sv/riverview/twinbrook and i am using a story progression mod  because i don't like ea story progression .  Hope they will work on that on the nex EPs. Other than that i follow fully the rules of the challenge!!!

So.. to come to the point.. i wanted a more difficult challenge ( i think it's easy if u marry a rich spouse then u are set for life.. )

I made a blank neighbourhood (downloaded) then i added some custom edited households , so the whole neighborhood started with like 20 population and all with the starting money.

After 2 generations ( currently on 3rd )  population growed to ~45 pple(without counting the npcs of course)  and my problem is that i reached already at almost 1 billion (880k) in net worth !! (started purely with 16.5k -14.7k for the lot )  while the next rich family stands at something like 110k...

I fully understand the rules of the challenge and i am loyally following them ..

Questions :

1) After the difficult generation 1 i think my game is not so challenging. I have already bought the venue/building for the 3rd generation , almost completed the house ( 8 special rooms at top floor and kitchen /play ground /living room bla bla at the main floor+museum at the basement . Is the challenge supposed to be like that? Does anyone else had so many money or this have to do with my custom world ???
**Money making ways:   I just followed careers to the top , planted like 5-6 money  trees (now i got 12) and i keep using mostly inheritance (instant ~30k simoleons ) on my sims. ** I personally think inheritance is unbalanced, it's very easy to build up household funds so i limited it now at 1 time used per person in their lifetime.

2) At the moment, in family i have the Founder (immortal) his daughter(first child, wannabe immortal) ,his son( mortal) , spouse of his daughter and the granddaughter. overall 5
Granddaughter following logic supermax skill etc, so she discovered the elixir that brings to life her imaginary friend. He joined the family and i didn't wish to . Can i kick her off when she is young adult or i should play her till elder status??? :<

Thanx for the great challenge again , it inspired me to play sims again after many months :D

Good luck and have fun all!!

i play in another neighbourhood cause i am pretty bored with sv/riverview/twinbrook and i am using twallan mod(default settings)  because ea story progression is pure.. s***t.

First of all, don't mention mods by name on this forum again. It's strictly prohibited. Second, do not abbreviate or use code for profanity.

and my problem is that i reached already at almost 1 billion (880k) in net worth !!

I'm guessing you meant to say a million?

A million in household funds by generation 3 is not unusual depending on the player of course.

Given the fact that you're using a custom world and a mod you can pretty much do whatever you want. And I'm not trying to be rude or judgmental — don't misunderstand me — but, if you want me to interpret rules for you and you're modding your game and playing in a custom world, then what's the point of my ruling? Do whatever you want and have fun. You're obviously not going for the Hall of Fame and that's totally okay.

Yeah 880k i meant , excuse my bad english as well , i am greek

Well , you got a point but i am following rules exactly as they are , so i don't really see why it should make a difference playing in sunset valley twinbrook or anywhere else as long as the resources given by the map are normal ( special seeds , collector items generally and of course all rabbit holes included ) , that's why i got the time and moved on to  ask .

What about the imaginary friend what are you up to do with him in normal version?

Thanx for the fast response :)

I made some  edits  on my posts, move forward to edit them more if I forgot to change something..

By the way, I think I will start over a new challenge in sunset valley with ea story progression , so I will have your full support .   :)

Thank you, Megrimo.

Yes, we run a strict forum to keep our members safe and hopefully entertained.  Your cooperation is much appreciated.  Just one other thing...  if you'd take a look at the grammar section of the rules and use care with capitalization and punctuation, you'll be in good shape.  I saw that you are Greek.  Your English is actually good, just needs a bit polish.  We also have a Spell Check button next to the Post and Preview buttons that will help you.

Argh, grr, and other assorted angry noises!  >:(  I've got an infinite pregnancy loop (Sim keeps popping out babies with no rendered pictures, eternally, even though there's only room for one more Sim in the house) has anyone figured out anything that might work to fix it?

If not, do I have clearance to (yet again) back up as far as I can, to a previous save and try to have a normal, not bugged, birth occur. I've tried a minimal reload of the last day of the pregnancy, but it just keeps happening again. Between broken inventories, and now this, I'm really starting to want to bang my head on the wall. *sigh*

Oh no Juxt, you're dynasty seems to have the worst of luck when it comes to having babies!
I really hope there's a fix, and that you don't have to go too far back in your file.

@Juxtaposition — I'm really sorry to hear about more woes for you. You most definitely can back up as far as necessary to get a normal birth.
