Wouldn't the kid's absence make drawing a portrait of the child stage impossible?

Unless you sent a mortal child to Boarding School.

Lol Metro. But I do think it should be allowed for mortals or spares.

Absolutely. Mortals have never been tied to any of the Dynasty requirements, so that's pretty much a nonissue.

I wouldn't send my Teens off to Boarding School. You say they get a few skills from this Boarding School? Well my Third Generation Immortal Teen has just Supermaxed Martial Arts and completed her lIfe Time Want, all from the start of being a Teen. She did travel but still, so much time could be wasted. Now she can spend the rest of her Teen Days looking for potential spouses in these bleak times, my SV has turned into a retirement town!  ;)

Ok. Thanks everybody, I may still test it on some non-dynasty family and see what it all does. :)

EDIT: I have another question! :P
With Generations came a new LTR, the Age Freeze potion. It says it will stop your sims from aging. Is this allowed for elder sims who have already eaten Ambrosia?

I don't yet have ambitions, but after hearing about some of the new features, I have to wonder, do prom photos/items have a value to them, and if so, can they be included as part of your museum collection?

You're welcome to include them in your museum, but no, they can't add value to the museum.

Alright.  Maybe monday I'll make my first attempt at a dynasty challenge.  The only real bumber I have noticed, is that the designated lot is far away from most everything else for easy access in just about every town.

I presume the young again potion is banned across the board but is it okay if an immortal uses it and then uses ambrosia to stay there or do they have to stay as elders?

Elder's need to stay Elders whether they've attained their immortality or not. And the way to do that in this event is to keep eating ambrosia, not potions.

Question, Generations has been a pain in my tooshie. I'm at my last straw to get this game to work. If I export my little family to a sims3pack file to save them. Completely uninstall the game and reinstall. Does this mean I fail and have to start over? Or can it be a pause button on my Lai story until I get the two portraits redone.

I don't know the specifics of your issues, but if it's technical stuff, then yes, you're allowed some latitude in trying to obtains fixes. Good luck.

Yes it's technical...and that's honestly the nicest I can say it without adding pretty words
