Also, I'm having a sim work on photography. He finished the around town challenge except for the theatre which I can't get to register. Could I count it please?

What I was thinking is, for example, your founder supermaxes the science skill. Then the founder goes around and obtains DNA samples from the sims whose genes you want for future spouses. Then, when each subsequent heir is born, the founder can use the DNA sample to clone the future spouse. The clone does not appear on the family tree, and so has no familial relationship, but your family can still raise them (like Trip said, akin to an Imaginary Friend).

Thank you Trip and Shirrin.  I was thinking you could have that clone child go home with the donor and that is why I thought it was illegal.  I wasn't even thinking of actually having to raise it.  Thanks so much for the clarification.  It makes much more sense now.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Thank you so much! I love photography but it can be so glitchy especially with combo rabbit holes. My school kept being a stadium LOL.

Yes, go ahead and go back to a previous save and see if that solves your problem.
I went back to a save that was 10 days before where I got to and everything was fine there. I'm assuming the answer to this is yes, but can I check other saves that are closer to where I got to and see where the problem started?

@bubbles

Yes you can.  Go to the "no error" save which is closest to where you got and you can continue your dynasty from there.

08/14/2014 -- Rules Page Addition:

  • Into the Future currently has a bug and will need to be turned off to receive skill opportunities. You can uninstall ITF using Sim Selector 3.0 or the old fashioned way using EA's uninstaller. You can also elect to play with ITF installed but will not receive many phone calls for opportunities.

Just a quick question regarding the new allowance - Do we have to uninstall ITF now if we choose to or can we wait until we feel we need to (For example, when we start running into problems with getting the opportunities)?

Joria - if you wanted to help populate the town on an unofficial dynasty, you could try have a sim become a genie and ensorcel people and make them marry/procreate. Too bad ensorcelling is not allowed for challenges that disallow adding to/removing from the household, because it could probably be so very useful in assisting story progression.

This isn't legal for an immortal dynasty either. You can't have a genie living in the household (extended lifespan).
