When attempting to resurrect a pre-made ghost using ambrosia does it have to be made with your sim's home grown life fruit and your sim's own deathfish?  Or if your sim gets the default option to make ambrosia once getting the recipe and lvl 10 cooking is that a possible way to bring them to life?

No. They can't eat ambrosia. You have to resurrect them somehow else.

I'm in Monte Vista and I have figured out there is no Death Fish. Can someone confirm this for me?

The deathfish spawner isn't in the cemetery; it's in the ocean by the lighthouse.

The one place I haven't looked. Thanks Trip

I have a few more questions about this challenge that I'd like to know the answers to before I start again (my last attempt died due to a computer crap-out).

  • What store content is allowed?
  • When dealing with the Immortals' Museum, is it challenge-legal to have ice sculptures and/or photographs for some generations but not all of them?  I know that I need paintings of all of them, but I don't know about the others.

Thanks!

1. All except for what's listed in the rules. So that would be the Fountain of Youth, the Wishing Well (flat ban on both), the mud bath with the Sauna, and soy milk (last two banned for everyone except for post-ambrosia immortals).

2. You can skimp on photos and sculptures for some generations, or even just forget to do them. It's just the paintings that everyone needs.

In my game, it is currently Thursday and, with my current settings, it should be Love Day but it isn't. Also, the ages are messed up for some of my sims because it should be my fourth generation spouses birthday, but it's tomorrow. Finally, the game isn't counting the age of my third generations spouse. Apparently he is 113 but he has been for two days now. I'm not sure what is going on and what I should do about it. Can I go back to a previous save and see if that works?

Yes, go ahead and go back to a previous save and see if that solves your problem.

I got to thinking about Shirin's quote and have some questions.  First, how could this be legal?  Isn't that also playing with other families instead of just your own?  Second, who would take care of those clones?  Do they go home with the person they are cloned from? If they stayed with you you'd be stuck with tons of clones in the house and you can't adopt out or move out people in your ID home.

Another thing you could do though, Joria, if you have UL, is have either your founder SuperMax science, or have the founder's spouse or other roommates do it. Get to cloning townies and making them into babies.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Cloning, when done through the Science skill, just adds a copy of the donor sim to the household as a baby. It's not the same as playing a family that isn't your own because the resulting clone is in your household and like any housemate.

It's no more illegal-sounding than having a female housemate have a baby, adopting a child, or adding an Imaginary Friend to the household.

What I was thinking is, for example, your founder supermaxes the science skill. Then the founder goes around and obtains DNA samples from the sims whose genes you want for future spouses. Then, when each subsequent heir is born, the founder can use the DNA sample to clone the future spouse. The clone does not appear on the family tree, and so has no familial relationship, but your family can still raise them (like Trip said, akin to an Imaginary Friend).

I don't have supernatural or showtime so is there another way to resurrect pre-made ghost Sims once I get the "oh my ghost" op?

You're stuck with them as ghosts, in that case.
