thanks for the link, but i have to start over now anyways.  my wife keeps resetting the life span to epic when ever she plays then doesn't tell me and doesn't reset it herself when she's done  :( .  its rather frustrating, i already finished all the skill challenges for gardening.  is there a way to make separate accounts on Sims 3 so we can each have our own settings?

You can make a factory reset folder and switch between them by naming the one you want to play "The Sims 3" an the inactive one something else. Your settings will stay in your file and hers in hers.

Sorry to hear that. Best of luck next time. :)

Another question about genie from me... Are the non-immortal/heir have a child with the genie?
and if the child is human, is he/she allowed to be the next dynasty spouse?

I really like to have a genie colour blend in LOL

No, because there's the chance the child would be a genie, which is disallowed due to the extended lifespan.

Otherwise, the answer would be yes.

Im pretty sure others with completed dynasties have genies in them as spouses, but maybe it was a cured genie. I cant remember exactly.

So, can we tweaked the genie face and then cure the genie then add her/him to the household?

You can cure a genie and add them to the household, but you can't tweak their face. That involves cheats or plastic surgery and both are banned.

The rules say you can have a playable ghost as part of your household - but how do you get rid of them to make room for an heir? Do ghosts "die" again? I've never played a ghost.

They keep their gravestone in their inventory and when you click on it it gives the option 'Return to Netherland'.

Do not click on their gravestone and select return to netherland. This is against dynasty rules and counts as intentionally killing a Sim.
Ghosts will die of old age like any other Sim the only difference is that a ghost who has died cannot be brought back by the oh my ghost opportunity. This opp is obviously banned for the immortal dynasty anyway so should not pose any problems.
