Can I have a slight clarification on something, I just noticed when clicking on an empty house it says purchase property, but would a private lot qualify as a property? or is it community lots only because of the need to upgrade?

I just wanted to be sure before I waste even more money and another property purchase, I bought plaza park and put the vault on it but thinking it's a rabbit hole I expected it to get sold off again only it didn't so I wasted that with my founder buying it instead of gen 5  ::) I guess it doesn't work the same as the others, possibly because it's with the library in Moonlight Falls.

With the patch, the vault seems to be acting differently and I'm wondering about the arboretum,  too.  I just noticed in one of my challenges that the lot it was on was now available for purchase.

As for empty lots - they're classified as residential in real estate (using phone or computer) and therefore go under the Private lot category.  Private lots/Residential lots are not a requirement.

Well I did the arboretum first, on four bridges park, I measured them in another game beforehand to see if they would fit before I bought the lots in my dynasty and just put it in the middle where the statue is, it sold that lot for me when I left build mode but not the one I put the vault on, not done the gypsy caravan yet, I might get gen 5 to buy the lot so if it doesn't sell it she has her property and if it does she can buy another.

But that will have to be when she gets home, just took me over half an hour to load Egypt as I hadn't been there for 4 generations, I reckon it had to repopulate the entire area, looking forward to some crazily dressed Egyptians now  ;D

I have two questions:

1. I cannot remember if my heir did the Stinky Bugs opportunity or not, so my plan is to never use it for any immortal. Is that the correct solution?

2. Do the buildings such as the Police Station/Military Base in Dragon Valley count as building purchases for the requirement now that they can be purchased?

That's what I'd do.

If you mean do combined rabbit holes count for building purchases, I believe they do. Though maybe wait until someone else responds to number two before you buy a combined rabbit hole.

Thanks! I'm mostly wondering because as far as I know, you didn't used to be able to purchase the military base, police station, and similar rabbit holes - or I may just have never noticed before. I think they would, because they act the same, but I want to make sure. I hadn't thought of the combined part, but now I want to know about that too.

I never noticed military and police being available for purchase until Monte Vista. It may be a town-to-town basis. But as far as I'm aware, they work the same and all you do is buy a purchasable building.

Ah, you see, I never noticed one way or the other with military and police rabbit holes, and had just presumed they could be purchased. I was just aware that they were combined in Dragon Valley.

Military and Police are combined in Dragon Valley but that may not be why they're able to be purchased.  It may have been a silent update.    If when you check Real estate using phone or computer and you see it as a purchase that is labeled business then it can be purchased.   Although being able to buy off the police and military is a little scary.

All Players are asked to not try anything in an existing dynasty file or start any games with content from Island Paradise (skills, town, life state, some objects) until it's been approved by the the challenge team.   We will try to gather as much information as possible and test it thoroughly.   Take this time to go explore the new content without any restrictions in a non dynasty file and if you come across anything we should know about - contact the team via PM.

Thank you everyone for being patient with us as we juggle the challenges, new content and of course real life.

Okay. Thank you everyone! It does say it's a business, so I bought it. It was very cheap and doesn't pay out very much.

Update on the gypsy caravan, I bought Lost Willow Park placed the caravan on it and the game sold it, so it looks like it's just the vault so far that it doesn't sell off.

Whilst Rica tests everything I will be sat twiddling my thumbs waiting for Island Paradise to be released in the Uk.

Yes but you know you can ask me any questions you have and if you think of something to be tested - Just say so!  Nothing is approved without the team agreeing on it.

I personally would love to see Mermaids allowed in at least one of the dynasties. *Gets a little excited over the thought of a blue/green mermaid.
