Sorry aenito, if you added the lot yourself, you may have failed your Dynasty. :(

Am I allowed to choose an empty lot and place a rabbit hole on it to get access to the new career?
-- No.  You are still not allowed to create your own lots from Edit Town.  If you wish to place the gypsy caravan, or any other rabbit hole from an expansion in your town, you have two choices.   If there is not a version of it in the community lot bin, you can save it to the bin from a new unaltered version of the expansion town or you can purchase a property in your dynasty game town and place the rabbit hole via the community objects category in build mode.    If you choose to purchase the property to place the item, that property will then be sold by the game so remember that if buying a property is part of your requirements.

Yes Aenito - you did ruin your chances for HOF.   Also - lots marked just Visitors Allowed aren't able to be purchased.

It say on the rules i can add EA lots so i believed a clean empty 40x20 lot from EA will be fine.

And about HoF... i didn't even start the first try. Now i'm playtesting some ways to get spouses for the 5th and 6th generation

You placing a lot does not make it by EA.   It makes it at empty lot that you made.   When we say you can place EA lots we mean pre-made community lots that have been made by EA.  As in places that have walls, furniture, and landscaping.   Examples would be:   Pet store, Gothic Library, The Toadstool, Fire Station, Salon.

Ok, i understand.

So let's say i copy to bin a cementery from another town, then place it on a residental lot from UC and, before start the game, edit it to remove all tombstones. That would be valid? Also, must i change it to "cementery" type?

Am I allowed to add graveyards from other towns to my town?
-- Placing any lot with a dead Sim on it is banned unless the Sim is removed before the lot is played.  Adding dead Sims to a town they're not from is a lot like adding Sims which is also banned.

You have to remove all the graves before you place it not after.  You don't have to change it's type.  Although if you're playing in UC - it already has an excellent graveyard that's huge.   You don't have to have a lot marked as a graveyard to place family tombstones either.   You can use any lot.

So... before copy it to bin?

And yes, i know it's not mandatory but was more for roleplaying purposes as i plan to play a dinasty of witches so they need a privte cementery where to perform witchcraft stuff.

edit just to do not doublepost:

I start with a witch, so they get a wand. Is that ok? or should i sell the wand as i sell the camera at the begining?

Don't sell the wand. If that were required, it would be in the rules.

It is already changed, friends.  ;)

Yay! I'm probably way too excited about using the sauna, but yay!

Also, in case Shewolf is still attempting to fix that house building thing with seasons's rain (or anyone else), here's what worked for me. I built my house the very first night before the rain created any puddles. I found that I could add a second story on top of that part, but that I couldn't expand and build second story on sections of land where the rain had created puddles. I don't know if you have any idea where the puddles on your lot are, maybe wait till the next time it rains? It seems like I always get puddles in the same couple of places, but I'm not for sure on that. Anyway, just a thought in case that helps.

It's not the puddles so much as it is the fact that the rain apparently causes a glitch for when you're in build mode.  When I go up a floor, then go to live mode to save, it crashes while saving.  But I restarted and didn't include rain.  So, we'll see what happens.

Due to some really major traveling bugs it is highly recommended you do not travel with any unmarried Sims. And don’t forget to save before leaving for a vacation.

I don't remember any gamebreaker bug with vacations. What are those bugs? where can i read about them? aren't fixed yet?

A small list:
-Sims not arriving when you get there.
-Game cloning your Sims.
-Not being able to leave the vacation world.
-Breaking of the family tree.
-Sudden children with vacation world townie.

All completely random and sometimes the only solution is to just go back to an earlier save and lose progression.

So I started one up in the Supernatural town (don't remember the name offhand) but turned off vamps, werewolves, etc. so I didn't accidentally wind up with one that was against the rules. Also, the only two dynasty stories I've read (Dreamweaver and Man) had lots and lots and lots of vamps in their later generations, so I figured I'd skip the hassle. Unfortunately, I didn't consider that using season changes would cause my gardener to have NOTHING to do for a week... and now I'm not sure she'll be able to finish in time. So... I'm thinking of restarting since I'm still really early in the project. Is there a preferred town that has all the community lots from all the expansions already on it? I like Sunset Valley just because I know where everything is (seed drops etc.) but if I don't have to edit town, that would be even better!

The only towns with everything in it are player made towns and the only one that will ever be allowed is Union Cove which is the forum's town.  Moonlight Falls where you were comes with vamps and other supernaturals so you're bound to meet one anyway but if you turned them off no new ones will form.

Moonlight Falls is one of those that has combined rabbit holes anyway so it's hard to say if it's a good choice in my opinion.

I would do Sunset Valley.   A dynasty is so long that you don't have to add a lot in Edit Town unless you absolutely want to or plan to need it.  Another favorite of mine is Twinbrook.  No room to add anything so why bother!

Less is more when it comes to dynasties.  Yes it's nice having all the lots but you're looking at 40+ weeks of playtime and everything adds up to just how big that file is going to be at the end.
