The Sims 3 Immortal Dynasty Challenge

Im either having a brain fart, or I am missing something major. 

According to my calculations:
Pregnant - 3 days
Baby - 3 days
Toddler - 7 days
Child - 7 days
Teen - 14 days

That's like 34 days already, almost 5 weeks.  Let's give the immortal one week to finish all the requirement as young adult, so that brings each immortal a total of 6 weeks.  Generation 2 - Generation 8 each takes 6 weeks, 7 x 6 = 42 weeks, plus the starting toon assuming only take 1 week to complete, that's 43 weeks.  How did some of those dynasty hall of fame players finish this in less than 43 weeks?  Am I missing something here?

All of her immortals were practically pregnant right after they hit YA.   There is overlap.   Not to mention not all founders start with 21 days to Adulthood.   Plus you can age someone up as soon as the age bar says 0 which means day 21 of adult can also be day 1 of elder.

Oh I just figured out my brain fart !!!  You do not need to finish all the requirements before getting pregnant, you just need to finish them before you can eat Ambrosia !  I got confused with life state dynasty!

No problem.  I wondered about that after I had posted and figured you'd say something to confirm it or we'd figure it out together.

Nutella, I can't speak to other player's strategies, but my ladies celebrated their birthdays with cake as soon as they could then immediately got to work on a nooboo.  Until the household ran out of room they usually did the pregnancy spin either on the way to or from their highschool graduation!   

It might be possible to shave a few more days off the time - I wasn't always vigilant about caking them up earlier in the day in the first few generations, so some extra days might've been gained during the delivery process or the pregnancy not happening until after midnight.  But if you're planning on zipping through as quickly as possible, it'll probably be no less than 40 weeks.

Rica -- I was rereading Artie's dynasty the last couple nights and noticed you mentioned that you only need Simmunity to be able to live "outside" -- is that how that works? So they'll no longer get the heat/cold moodlets? I'm only asking because aren't there separate LTRs for heat/cold tolerance as well?

No, I gave them all both the hot & cold immunities except Artie.  He got to freeze regularly.

Do they still tan/burn?

They were red.  There was absolutely no way to tell.   Angus and Adrasteia both seemed to but it was hard to tell really. I know we got two of the gnomes.  I set Summer as the shortest setting because they had virtually lived in summer the whole file and I wanted to get to fall.  Never got a sunburn in the house though.
