Well it looks like I'm going to have to start over. So I have some questions.

1 What town do you guys think is the best to start a dynasty?
2 Where is the dynasty tips thread?
3 Did Pam ever post a picture of how she got all of the lots in Sunset Valley?

1 - The one you are the most comfortable with and fits your strategy the best.   Go ahead and plan out what skills you want to do so you can make sure you have the appropriate buildings needed for them before you start.

3 - Yes.   I think it's on her dynasty thread though.

The one I'm most comfortable with is Sunset Valley, but I'm kind of bored with it. I have all the expansion packs, but just can't seem to decide.

Which city fits your strategy the best.  What are the 8 skills you're going to max?   I'm looking for a picture.

I think I want to do a themed one. Based on Marvel Super heros or maybe just super heros in general.

I'm planning on Supermaxing Gardening, Martial Arts, Inventing, Sculpting, Painting, Logic, handiness, and fishing. One or two of these could change.

Any town would fit your purposes but Bridgeport. Also be very careful doing inventing and handiness as leveling inventing can level handiness.

Didn't think about that. Maybe Alchemy then. Unless that levels up logic.

I would suggest avoiding a town with combined rabbit holes, and Inventing should not max Handiness, I've had several inventors and they reached around level six in Handiness (With the Handy trait) 

Alchemy does not level logic, but it is an excellent skill to supermax. I supermaxed it by Adult.

My last dynasty inventor was level 9 and a half in handiness when she was finally done supermaxing. A lot of it has to do with how you do the inventing - using skill books and doing it as a child when you can't learn handiness will certainly help but it's a possibility depending on play style so why risk it unless you really want to. 

I agree about alchemy.  It's an awesome skill to max/supermax but it only has 1 opportunity associated with it so you'll need a day job to get the other 5.

The following rule clarifications have been made:

•  The alchemy elixirs to turn Sims into a fairy, vampire, werewolf, or genie are banned from use against townies as this extends their lives.
•  All Sims that are toadified have to be cured as this can cause them to become age stuck.

What is the largest sims 3 neighborhood? I did a google search, but I still can't figure it out.

Largest in which sense? Space? Population?

The store worlds are generally kind of small on population, generally not topping 60. I know that Twinbrook starts out with about 66 residents (67 if you count the unborn Jones-Brown-Goode baby), and Sunset Valley is somewhere around there.

Largest in what way?   The most empty lots, most lots, largest map size?  Remember the bigger the town, the worse the lag will be towards the end.  Juxtaposition was playing in Bridgeport and she said it took her 2 hours to load up her game file during generation 8.

yikes! I guess that makes it easy to just go with SV. Or would you recommend going smaller?
