The Sims 3 Immortal Dynasty Challenge

Every Immortal has to have an unique property and venue. But they can hold more than one as long as it is unique to them?

As long as you have enough so that every generation can buy their own property and building, you can buy all the others all you want.  But remember each generation has to buy the property and upgrade it (if needed) themself.  So you can't have generation 1 do it for all the others. 


The philosopher's stone was not banned; however, you cannot use it on the ghost of someone who has already died in the house because that is extending their life which is against the rules.

Has anyone else having a glitch where if you sell something from your sims inventory it shows back up in the game, and you can resell it? It's a weird glitch, and I'm not exploiting it, just wondering if anyone else has had this.

Yes.  It's a glitch that been discussed in the Patch 1.38 thread.   The only way to really sell something without having to resell it is to place it on the ground and then go into buy mode to use the hammer.

So, with the addition of the Curing Elixir, would it be allowed to cure a vampire (or other long-lived supernatural) and then add them to the household? Or would any past occult nature permanently bar them from the immortal household?

Curing an occult with an elixir is allowed as long as you do it before they join the household.  That way you're not breaking the rule about having a vampire/fairy/werewolf/etc. in the household.

It is not cheating if you force someone like Tragic Clown to join up though?

Tragic Clown is one of the ghosts in the Sunset Valley graveyard right?  If he is, then no it's not cheating to invite him in.  Just remember you have to keep him until he dies again naturally.  And you can't feed him ambrosia to make him a non ghost.

As I lay out the plans for another attempt, I guess I should ask about a couple things:

1. Is using the Clone Voucher reward okay to obtain a non-immortal for whatever purpose?

2. Let's say I have a male immortal. He's done everything by the time he eats ambrosia except for move in a lady and make the next heir. Am I allowed to hold off heir-making until after ambrosia time?

1) Yes you can use the clone voucher for non immortals.  I did it myself at least once in my current dynasty.

2) Yes he can if that's what you want because it's really part of the strategy if that's your choice.  Just remember that the longer you wait to bring in an heir the more boring it may get while you're waiting for him to get past the infant/toddler stage.  It's not a requirement to have an heir to eat ambrosia.

When making a new founder, are we restricted on which life state we play in, now that Supernatural has been released? In other words, if I want to start my 2nd Dynasty with a witch or a ghost, is that permissible?

If they are allowed in the dynasty than you can start with one.  This means since you can't start with a Genie or Vampire but you could start with a witch or ghost if you wanted. 

I'm surprised I haven't seen one started with a ghost yet.  I was about to start one just because.

Can we uproot townie sims from one town to another to use them as a painter or sculptor or something?

No.  The only use of Edit Town allowed is to add buildings.  Sims are to remain untouched until they actually enter your household.
