You still broke the rules.  You still gave your Sim a makeover which is against the rules even if it didn't actually reset her age.   Your current attempt if you choose to keep going would not be eligible for HoF.

Rica is correct makeovers are banned even if they do not affect the Sims age.

Finally, after a year of reading these rules (multiple times) I had started my own dynasty. The founder had tasted ambrosia already. So... few questions:

1.
Quote
Traveling is banned until the 2nd generation becomes Young Adult.
My 2nd generation consists of 2 brothers. The heir is YA, while his brother is still in his teens. Do I have to wait for brother's birthday, or I can already travel with the whole family?

2. Can we place new buildings in town if the game itself offers them (after new EPs coming out)?

3. Gambling. Is it allowed as a supermax skill? (It doesn't have any challenges, just 10 points, so the obvious answer would be "no", but I still want confirmation because of my руышефтсн).

Thank you very much!

I've been meaning to ask this one for quite some time. Does the getting a tattoo ban for immortal sims pre ambrosia include giving your founder a tattoo in CAS when you create him/her?

Also, are pets even able to get a tatoo/plastic surgery/makeover/eat life fruit in normal gameplay? (I mean, can they even normally get those actions as choices to perform?)

1. Travelling should be ok if the 2nd generation heir is YA.
2. Yes, placing new buildings in town is an acceptable use of Edit Town.
3. No, gambling is not a valid Supermax skill.
4. The tattoo ban does not apply to CAS - in the Stylist building, you can get a tattoo there, and that is what resets the age bar.
4. Pets might be able to eat life fruit - I watched a starving poodle mutant dog thing eat a tomato (I might still have the screenshot, too).

The term 'makeover' - does it mean to change a sim in CAS or salon? Because i changed a non-immortal's hair in CAS, and it didn't cause any problems as i first thought it did. But, if it's againts the rules, i'll start over, i didn't get to generation 2, so i've got no reason not to start again. Oh, and thanks for clearing things up.

It only applies to the salon. You can makeover your sim at home using the dresser and mirror with no restrictions.

The term makeover implies specifically using the stylist station because it can reset your age whether it's at home or if it's at the salon.   If you use the dresser/vanity/mirror then it's not a makeover - it's planning an outfit.

Pets can eat life fruit but I don't think they can get tattooed, have plastic surgery, get a makeover. However - you can't feed a pet gourmet pet food  because it can add life like life fruit.

Tattoos only apply after your founder leaves CAS.  A tattoo can not be gotten via the stylist salon, the spa or an at home tattoo chair until your heirs & founder are immortal and it can never happen for someone who isn't an immortal.

Can gourmet pet food be added to the rules set as a banned item then? Because I have fed that stuff to my pets, not realising it was banned. So now I have to start again and through no fault of my own. To put it mildly this is extremely annoying.

Gourmet pet food has been mentioned a lot of times in this thread and I guess we can't fault you for not reading every post in it.  Although, if you read the buff that you get it says they could live a longer life and knowing the rules that you can't extend life for anyone in your house other than ambrosia for immortals, to me it seems like it's straight forward even if it wasn't in the rules.

Metro may let you slide but it's completely up to him.

It should be included in the ruleset though, Ricalynn to help new players, as far as I'm concerned.

Metro, would you mind editing the rules to add the thing about gourmet cat food being banned?  I don't think we can expect anyone to abide by something if it's not specifically stated in the rules.

I'm trying to remember but I can't, since it's been so long since I've put LN clubs in a town for a Dynasty. I want to put the Brightmore down in Starlight Shores and there is a Residential Lot that is a 40x38 whereas the Brightmore is 40x32 I think. Can I rezone that Empty Residential Lot to be a Danceclub?

Also do the same for the No Visitors allowed 60x60 Lot? Probably put the Casino or the Studio there.

Just to clarify on the Best Friends requirement — immortals can share Best Friends, but they can't share the best friends that they claim for Ambrosia. So, immortal A has 10 Best Friends, and immortal B also 10 Best Friends. Immortal A claims 1-6 for Ambrosia and no one else has these as Best Friends, but 7-10 can be shared as long as those BF are not claimed by others for their Ambrosia. I know, it is a little confusing. :) Heck, sometimes I get confused!

I have been away from the forum for awhile and was browsing this discussion before attempting this challenge. I was a bit puzzled by the above statement by Metro: so if daddy=immortal 1 has claimed his spouse as his best friend, a child=immortal 2 cannot even be best friends with his/her mother. Did I get this right? If so, it's better not to claim family memebers as best friends at all.

And, what happens if immortal 2 becomes best friends with person A - whom immortal 1 has claimed as a best friend - after immortal 1 has eaten ambrosia? Have you failed the challenge?

As far as best friends go everybody can be friends with one another but two immortals just cannot claim the same two best friends. So if Immortal A is best friends with his wife and son he can claim those for immortality the son can also be best friends with his mother but not claim her as a immortality requirement.
