A Spare can have children in or out of the house. A few people, myself included have had Spares or other household members (slaves) have children in order to aid further requirements or to help out. You can also have a male member have children with a female not in the household.

On the note of photographs, does anyone know how to get a good priced shot of a sim? Mine seem to come out at around 2-300 simoleans each and as far as I'm aware they don't appreciate like the other museum pieces.

Photographs do appreciate in value over time.  The photographs taken in the early stages of my Dynasty were worth quite a bit at the end.

Ah, that's good to know. I tried searching but couldn't find any information on appreciation for Photos and Sculptures and I've not tried photography before, so thanks for the info

It takes a couple of days after getting bit to actually turn into a vampire.  Maybe he got bit before they got married.

I have also had them start off with the vampirism "bite" at game start.

I had a male sim meet Agnes, flirt enough to be allowed to stay overnight, Fiona McIrish came to visit and they watched TV, then she went home.

Day 2, Agnes was a happy bride...a happy vampire bride. I immediately sent her to get cured.

Been checking price appreciation on art to see exactly how it works. My rank 10 Painter/Sculptors paintings are increasing by 10 per night, his ice sculptors are increasing by 2% per night. On death his painting increased by 930 and his sculptings increased by 2500 and the appreciation amount doubles (20 per night, 4% per night respectively).

So far my photos haven't increased at all but I'm about to kill off the photographer and see if that changes anything.

Edit: The Photographer died and it increased by 930 simoleans. Just waiting to see if it has gained any appreciation.

I waited four sim days, I figured if it was going to do anything it would be daily like the Paintings and Sculptures. Maybe it's weekly for the photos or a longer period, I'll have to test it at some point.

Are you keeping the photos in the digital frames?  Because they don't appreciate in value if they're in the digital frames.
