Metro, thanks for appending Union Cove to the list!
Now there's only the issue with the Lunar Lakes dynasty lot location. I don't have LL so I can't tell you. I just hope it won't have the incompatibility problems that AP had.

This has probably been asked already... but can a LTR such as the Collection Helper be moved to another immortal's inventory for their use and still be counted as a unique LTR by the Immortal who purchased it?

Yes, as long as nobody else buys one, anyone in the family can use it.  The Immortal can also buy more than one if you want.

Excellent, thanks Pam :)

The large Lunar Lakes lots are:

64x64 -- 15 Hyperion Highway

60x60 -- 65 Hyperion Highway

So I'm assuming we use the 60x60 for the Immortal Challenge? But the 64x64... bigger is better right?

I have another question :).
The unique best friends: I read a post by metro (near the beginning), and I've got the impression that:
Immortal A counts Immortal B as one of their unique best friends. Immortal B cannot count immortal A as their unique best fried.
Is this Correct?

Also, in the rules it mentions that "mods" that only change the appearance of things (i.e. not gameplay related) are allowed.
Because of this, I have been playing with a mod that changes the images painted by my sims. It in no way affects painting value or time, it simply replaces the stock images used by the game when "just" painting (not portraits, still life, etc.).
Is this ok? I really only makes pretty paintings...

I also have an autosave thing. All it does is prompt me to save the game every 15 mins.

I just want to make sure I'm not breaking the rules. I'd hate to have to start over now that I have my first Immortal and gen 2 is YA.

Thanks,
Nora :)

I think Metro said the 60x60 is the one he would prefer. Since that is the size of the one in SV where the Challenge was originally designed around. As it brings the price down to a certain amount.

First part is correct.  It's actually just easier to never include anyone that could probably be an immortal as a best friend so you don't mess yourself up by accident later.  It's not that hard to get 6 people outside the house.

  • All modifications (mods) are banned. Period. Mods are patches that typically alter some component of gameplay. But, even if a mod supposedly does not alter gameplay you cannot use it. Remove all mods before beginning.
  • 3rd party Custom Content that alters appearance such as skin tone or hairstyles, etc. is not considered a modification of the game and can be used at the player's own risk.

All mods are actually against the rules.  All that's really allowed is CC skin/hair/clothing for Sims.  Read the above quote from the rules from Metro in the first post.

If you want to go for HoF you would need to remove the mods as he has suggested and then start a new game or you could just try to finish the challenge without an HoF entry.

Darn. I'll wait to see if Metro will let me keep playing if I remove the mods.
I don't really understand why a purely cosmetic mod would be ruled as a game breaker, but ok.

I was under the impression it would count? I thought that if say Immortal A counted Immortal B, then Immortal B counted A. Then Immortal C wouldn't be allowed to count B because A counted them? Am I wrong in thinking this then?

I think if A counts B, B could not count A. Each one has to have 6 unique BF's, so A nor B would be unique if they were both counted. That's my perspective anyways.

Oh, I always thought it meant that by unique it mean't nobody else counted that Sim. I must have misunderstood. Looks like my previous attempts would have failed me anyway and without me knowing. So maybe it's a good thing other things brought the Dynasty tumbling down.  :-\ Yay for me. More socialising. Ick.  :P

I think that most of us have done A counts B and B counts A and someone probably has finished doing that.

Surely a can count b and b can count a as unique best friends.Say Pam and Metro are best friends they are each unique to each other. It is not as if Pam is friends with herself. Perhaps I am missing something.
