@bakey
Excuse my ignorance, but by "baby", do you mean you didn't get a portrait as a toddler or as a baby in the cute snuggly blanket?

Oh Good Grief! Now I feel like such an idiot. As soon as I read that I realized that I didn't count Elder as the 6th portrait. Haha! I'm so worried about doing it by the rules and having everything right that I keep screwing myself. I actually started over again already. I got married and had a baby in record time I think. LoL. But this time I had twins as my first born. So umm... what do I do there? Is the first child that I named to be the immortal? Or does it matter in that case since they are twins?

The first one you name is the targeted immortal.

I am mired in an infinite baby loop, and I can't get out! I've now started as far back as I can go, but the pregnancy keeps popping out glitched infinite babies. I've even gone so far as to do a complete re install, no luck there either. I can't think of anything more to try, does anyone have any other plan for fixing it? I've tried resetting Sim in between babies, clearing cache files, and just about everything I can think of, so I'm beginning to fear that there's nothing to be done that will work.

Oh no, that is awful, Juxt! Have you tried re-doing the pregnancy? I mean, not the backup, but the .sims3backup of the backup save file. Or, do you have another save, before the pregnancy? I'm so so sorry to hear you're having problems. *sniff* :'(

You can close the game and start with a previous save, if you want.  You've got numerous technical difficulties that aren't your fault.
Thanks Pam. I will try to do this.

I had a thought that might help Ricalynn but I suppose it would technically need Metro's approval.

Turn story progression and free will off. Reset everyone. Let it run for a minute or so real time. Save to a different file, and quit. Restart from the new file. Turn story progression and free will back on. Save and restart again, and see if everyone's still running back to the beach.

Out of curiosity, if you throw a party, do people come? Do they stay?

My last save with backup after it is about 200 saves ago, so that's a little far I think. My other far back save is when Nyarah was a baby, also a little farther than I'd like to go back. No I don't have a save just before the pregnancy, if I did I would have used it already. Thanks for the thoughts though.  You'd think I would have learned to keep an earlier save during a pregnancy, but no, I am a creature of habbit, and I keep three saves only *sigh*

What if... you use the one when Nyarah is a baby? :-\ I know it's a bit too cruel to you to be forced to redo everything, but... Losing them altogether is worse, right? Again, I am very very very sorry. *sniff* :'(

That's about real life 3 weeks worth of gameplay for me, I don't really know if that's better than dropping my HOF dreams, I still have one more possible solution, but it is radically outside the rules, will report if I have any luck.

What I advise is plain and simple - uninstalling Generations. You have Generations, don't you? :-\

Only half of them and only if the party thrower has the legendary host LTR.  My Party Animal Sim only had one person stay.

I've got another problem.   I was fairly certain that Malcolm Landgraab was two days older than Bella.  But the game told me that Bella's birthday was the day before Malcolm's.   I wasn't keeping track of their birthdays because I just had  birthdays for their daughters, too.  Well Malcolm just had his birthday the night after Bella's and it not says he's two days older.   Do I just go with this?  This is the same glitched game I mentioned before where the birthday cake on the counter doesn't go bad and everyone is at the beach - including one of the girl's imaginary friend.

I did watch two people die at the beach so at least that part of Story Progression is working but I've seen no new families move in and no births but it's only been less than a week which is why I'm playing a game until the two daughters are YA. (they just became Children)

Metro - am I still good with this dynasty or ?

You're still good. You're probably ready to put your fist through your monitor, but you're still good.

No I don't.

Another attempt, another failure, I tried uprooting the household and putting them in a new Bridgeport, didn't work, still stuck in infinite baby loop. I tried it with the almost ready to give birth save, not my not even showing a bump yet save, so I'll give it one more shot. (Don't worry I know that would take me out of the running for HOF)

Stupid Generations patch, I blame you, though mainly because I have nothing else to blame.

Metro, I am really worried. The Generation Three Heir gave birth as normal, her Sister was heavily Pregnant and both had spun at the same time, problem is the Sister still had not given birth Three Days after her Sister. Then my Gen 2 started reseting himself, he would just stop doing things and like reset, then his Wife and He shared a Birthday into Elderhood, I got the note, she aged up and then the camera went to him, he just walked off, the next day and still didn't age up. I quit without saving but I'm really worried. My only Back-Up Pre-Generations is with my Gen 3 as Teens. I think I might still have another File but from after the Pregnancy.  :-\ Can I try reverting to an old save?

I'm guessing that "Play Chess for [sim]'s Life" is out of the question for everysim?
