Eveline's way of seeing reminds me of the way Merlin learns to see again in the Fire of Merlin series, I loved it.  Can't wait to see where this is going next!  Also, what did you use to get her eyes that way?  Just colored to white, or CC?

Oh wow! Ha, Eveline is quite the popular lady. ;)

I laughed a little harder than I should have. ;D

I actually found Eveline's part one of the easier-to-read parts of the dynasty and I don't know why. Oh well. It was still a powerful chapter. And the last line, man.

Excellent job.
No worries, laughing too hard at something is never a bad thing. I'm glad, maybe I've found something that's making it easier to read - or maybe Eveline is just awesome, it's could be either one. I actually had a bit more to post, but after reading through on preview I went "no, I think that's enough." It leaves a lasting effect though, so I'm glad I did hold off on the other things.

*growls. I want WA, too! *sighs. I'm starting to have speculations about Majnun's role in the story. But wee, that could be just me.
I do like WA, especially since the bugs have been patched, but if this were a few weeks after it came out - I would've told you that you were crazy for wanting it considering all of the bugs one must suffer through to enjoy it. Hmm, speculations? I'm very curious as to what those speculations are...

Ooooh... This was EPIC!!!! Now what senses that the next migicy kid won't use??? Um... I give up, I guess I'm waiting for it  :'( but again awesome chapter. Oh, and I never was told what town they are in, what town is it?
Thank you! I'm glad I could write something so epic. :) The Reapers are currently taking over residing in Bridgeport. :) It's giving me plenty of grief, but thankfully that's my last terrible town (lag-wise) - and I only had to take out half of the buildings to get it going! I'm actually still up for debate about this next one. Look towards the announcements below for some information on that. ;)

Okay, not going to lie, the descriptions of Evie coming to terms with her limitations as well as her new abilities made me want to cuddle that little bundle of pixels.  Very well written!
Ah, she's quite loveable. I can already see how her character is growing, and I'm really liking it. Thank you though! I do try very hard to make my characters believable.

So Eveline's skill is something like a bio sonar? Now that's interesting.
I imagine it's something like a bat (which is probably what you're referencing, except I'm not aware of that term). She sees things on a grid. If you've ever seen Avatar (Last Airbender) I imagine her similar to Toph, just using magic over bending to do that. She's still got limitations on it though, as every witch as limited magic they can draw from, so that will be interesting to factor in.

I enjoyed seeing Bear in the front seat of the taxi. Now I want to test that on my game. d: I'm glad that Evie can see, though I'm glad it's without color, or it would be pushing her ability a bit far, in my opinion.
Ha, Bear looks great up there, all I can imagine was he was giving the driver directions - silly dog. There's no way she could ever see color, and she won't ever be able to see herself either (as she is the center of where her magic comes from). Really she sees things in shades of black, and it's not always accurate. So long as it's attached to the ground she can see it (so if it floats, she can't), and it's merely an outline so she can get an idea of where things are.

Wow, the scene between Majnun and Eveline was very touching!  In his brief moments of sanity, Majnun can be very wise, insightful and caring.  The moment he reverted back to his crazy self, though, made me laugh :)  Looking forward to see what Majnun's role will be as your story continues.  Another great chapter!
Haha, I was a little worried his sanity would be too much, but alas, Majnun saved the day for me. Majnun's appearance was crucial for me, as I knew Mary and Alec were magical, but they could never know how to teach their daughter. Mary learned from Agnes, both of whom had all of themselves. Majnun is the only Sim claimed to (be alive and) have lost something but still have full control over his magic - I mean, I could've invented someone else, but this just seemed right.

Honestly never read that series... I'll look into it. :)
Thank you though, and her eyes are CC. I wanted to make it a little exaggerated so it would be obvious on first sight that she couldn't see. Hopefully that's mission accomplished?

Mini-Thingy-majig.
Well, we're a long way off from the next generation, so this isn't really relevant right now, but I thought I would give you all some general idea of where the next few generations will be. A long while ago, in a conversation between Majnun, myself and Alec (I believe) it was mentioned that Mary could only have one child, as her body was not conditioned to handle the powerful magic that was Eveline (who was growing in her at the time), Eveline though, being that she is a woman and she has immensely powerful magic in her, can have multiple children. If the next heir is a boy, his wife will only be able to have one pregnancy(because the child/ren growing within his wife will leave her barren as she could not be powerful enough to have more than one pregnancy). That is just for clarification, the real announcement was that there will no longer be heir polls (as there's simply no way I can have 4 children with different/similar disabilities, yet only have one become heir -thus meaning the others are... I dunno, it just doesn't quite add up that way) but the polls you will have will be town polls. I'm sorry if this is a disappointment, it took me a long time of juggling and thinking about ways I could make it work, but I just can't find any other way to really work it into the story and make it believable on my own level.

Hopefully I've explained it well enough so that it's understandable, but if the next heir were to be deaf (s/he won't, it's just an example) I can't have 3 children be deaf and only one take on the heirship, as heirship is going to the one who traded pieces of themselves for magic, so if they all 3 did it, then it wouldn't be quite... fitting? *Shrugs* This was my reasoning for this, if that makes sense. I'm not going to say which child is heir up front (as I haven't decided, and it likely won't be any particular order either - like firstborns only, or so on).

Anyways, ramble ramble ramble. I do go on for longer than I need to. Town polls will be available for the birth of the next heir (or whenever after s/he is born, depends on how Bridgeport wants to deal with it). Either way, that will be there for you to vote over on. Sorry again if this is a disappointment, I just want to stay true to my storyline.

Livvieee!!! I have quite a bit to catch up on! Jeez. Taking a break from all things Sims was a bad idea, I've got about 5 million chapters from you to read up on, but I will. I already know it'll be great but...heh...so much reading  ::)

Thank you! I tried really hard to make the chapter a foundation for Eveline, as she's got quite the road ahead of her.

Miiiizzileeeeee! I thought you died! Ha, everyone needs a break every now and then, my breaks usually involve the Sims of another sort. Five million-bajillion more like, I've been cranking these chapters out! Haha, plus it doesn't help that I love to make my chapters uber text-savvy, so I don't envy you, but at the same time, I hope you enjoy, also I'm glad to hear you haven't vanished off the face of the earth. :D

The most notable animals to use bio sonar are indeed bats and dolphins, so you understood what I meant.

Oh good! Can you tell I barely passed science? It's kind of sad really. Then again, those classes were like, Chemistry and Physics, if I had taken Zoology I might've been better off. *shrugs* thank you for clarifying that though! I've learned something new!

I love Eveline! She reminds me so much of Toph from Avatar (who I adore). I really enjoy reading Majnun. He's so out-there but can still be insightful when he needs to.

Toph was one of my favorite characters. :D Majnun is my plot device sim, lol! Just kidding, no he's great, he's where I can channel my inner-insanity.

You guys are going to be so sick of these text updates on my life. I'm sorry.

Well, all, this is getting posted across all of my stories, just so everyone is aware of my delay and my awesome surprise! Last Friday my Aunt lost her battle with cancer. It's very hard on me not because I was particularly close with her but because she was the mother to my best friend growing up. My Aunt had seven children she left behind and they're all very different and handling things differently. I had gone this weekend to visit my parents for Father's day, thus thinking I would come straight back and work on my story, but my uncle went ahead and scheduled the viewing (which wasn't actually a viewing, they wanted us to remember her as she was before the cancer took her) and the funeral for yesterday and today. It's been very hard on my cousin, as she's the third oldest. Their kids span from the ages as old as 24 (or 25) to 11. It hasn't hit Becca yet, she's the youngest at 11 years old, but I know it's not easy on her. My cousin tends to be the type to take everything on her shoulders and carry everyone with her. Her oldest brother is married and moved out with an infant, and her older sister is pursuing a college education. She has not been able to attend college (though she's always wanted to) and now she's juggling jobs to help support her family and I know it's not been easy on her to do. She always wanted to be an art teacher. She told me that was her main goal but now it seems to be put off to the side. I needed to be with her to help her grieve, as her family are very religious and push her to be "happy" her mom is in a better place. Which is much easier said than done.

On another note, my birthday is in a couple weeks (the 28th) and my boyfriend wanted to get me something special for my birthday, so he's fixed up my computer and kicked my silly AMD card out of the way with a brand new NVidia Geforce GTX 760 along with a new power supply to help get my gaming in gear! It causes the lights to flicker a little when we have the window unit running and his computer, but it's all worth it! I look forward to seeing my Sims in even higher quality with hopefully a few less issues!

Thank you all for being so patient. I love this forum so much, and I've made many friends here and hope to continue making friends here, thank you for your patience with my stories and being supportive of the random life issues I've had. Look forward to some new updates coming at you in the next week or so! :) Happy Simming!

Your cousin is lucky to have you for emotional support. When losing a loved one, everyone needs someone to share their sadness and fears with who will listen and not judge.

We can wait, don't worry. RL always comes first. I know how hard it is, I lost my father to cancer six years ago and it took two years to get over grief. We will wait for your return, no matter how long it takes.

No worries Livy, when I was younger I lost my great-grandmother to sickness ( I'm actually starting to think it was cancer.) so I understand. And I will wait for The Return of Livvielove, I can just work on my own story until then, plus I have a goal to be able to control emotions like you, to work on.

Thank you all so much for the kind words, I'm so truly sorry to have taken so long to come up with a great chapter. It's been almost a month and I feel terrible! I've done a lot of traveling and a lot of soul-searching in a way. A lot of you readers have been through some of my most trying times and I can't thank you enough for that. The Reapers are still there, and they will be coming back, I'm so sorry for taking so long again. I've been trying to job hunt, but I needed more resumes. A pipe burst in the wall between our kitchen and the next-door neighbor's apartment. Our carpet was soaked and our closet was soaked and it took a lot of waiting around in my apartment to get minor repairs done and the get the carpet cleaned so we don't grow mold (ew). I updated my resume and realized I needed to print it out, went to do so and forgot that the printer was in the closet in the kitchen (yes, where the pipe burst). I was amazed to find the printer was still kicking, but it was out of ink (of course). We wanted to go out today and just get my resume printed at FedEx, but low and behold, it's Pride week and all of Chicago is shut down. Literally. Just our luck that the parade STARTED in our part of town (we live in Uptown area). All of the streets were blocked off and we spent an hour just driving around looking for the fed-ex store, only to realize we couldn't find it. So we gave up and went shopping anyways, I used some of my birthday money to grab some more printer ink and we needed to go to the currency exchange so we could do laundry later only to find out the currency exchange place closed an hour earlier (so, if we hadn't been driving around looking for an unclosed route to Fed-ex, we would've gotten some quarters).

This weekend has been a lot of things like that. On my birthday we went out to brunch with the mother in law, she was far too kind in her gifts, and she even let us take home the leftovers and take home her old swiffer so we could really clean our kitchen floors. I was carrying a lot of things (including the leftovers) and had to put the leftovers on top of the car to open the door to put the other things in... have you figured out what happens next? Yeah, never put the leftovers in the car, and now they're probably decorating a highway somewhere (shame, I really wanted that pesto chicken sandwich). We had another funeral to go to that day as well, for my boyfriends neighbor who was taken by cancer as well. My boyfriend insisted we go see a movie and go to dinner for my birthday, so we took the bus there, however coming home we ended up getting stuck in the rain for a half an hour because the bus system was behind! Yes so, I've obviously had my ups and downs, I just wanted to let you know I was still alive and kicking and so are the Reapers! Woohoo!

That's some trouble with capital T! Best luck with your problems. And you're right, it's best to never put food on car. That reminded me of when I accidentally dropped a chocolate ice cream out of car window, and had quite problems cleaning it after 2-hours drive.
