Sims 3 breaking in to a house just wont work!

I used Ctrl+Shift+c, then Testingcheatsenabled true, then I went over to a house at night EVEN and clicked look in window, then when I went to press shift click on a spot in the house it just said "Build on this lot" and "buy on this lot" What am I doing wrong??
Please help me.

Are you trying to "break in" (steal / klepto) from another Sim?

If you are referring to the teleport function of testingcheatsenabled, I'd say that you can't use it to 'break' into a house since the game only recognises that it's some house you're clicking on. I think you should just try to break in in the normal way. (asking to spend the night, or by being a ghost)

Hmmm, weird. The last time I remember is that I could teleport into people's homes. Has that changed?

I don't recall ever being able to teleport into someone else's house.

Maybe you can use the teleport thing you get from meditating, I'm not sure if it works into people's homes though.
