Xbox Cheats
« on: October 10, 2013, 10:20:41 AM »
I have activated cheats on one of my saves. When I tried to use the trigger age transition cheat (that works on other sims not in my active family) on a child and teen I've randomly met in my quest to mess with as many sims as I can, it wouldn't work. They act as if I did nothing to them. Also, the people in the park that I have used this on just runaway. Is this a glitch?

I know on the PS3 version, if the sims are out in public and you use the age transition, they will head home, because I think they have to age up at home? I tried this on a sim that was next to the park. They went home, then when I visited, they had aged up. I think you need to age up your own sims at home, too.

I think you're right. I just tried this on an elder sim passing by my house and I got a message saying that "so and so passed on due to old age." But I didn't see its ghost or Grim, he just kinda vanished, so, is it like a technecality maybe? I'm not sure.
It turns out that the child I was trying this out on was an NPC and literally nothing happened. She is my paper-girl (Casey Turner) and she shows up everyday as a child even though I used it on her multiple times.
But as to the whole "at home thing", all my age transitions for my sims worked fine at home. However, when I visited a teen at his house and used it on him, he behaved the same as Casey. Isn't that odd?
Anyway, thanks for the reply!

No worries. I'd get worry because originally I'd click on them multiple times, before I realised they went home, and thought they'd do multiple transitions and end up turning a toddler into an elder. The funniest thing I have seen when I tried that, was at the park. I was aging up toddlers as there was a lack of children in the neighborhood for my sim child to play with. So I clicked on a toddler and it CRAWLED all the way home to age up. It just crawled right out of the park and down the footpath, didn't even take a parent with it lol.

Woah, hahaha, that is awesome! Reminds of the time my sim (they're infuriating sometimes) left her toddler at the park.
I didn't know until later when I got a message saying that (Keellee) was out after curfew.
I switched to her and she was "finding Michelle." I followed her outside my house. She didn't go in. Just sat there. Her mother didn't even freak, it seems that's a common occurence in the sim-universe.

Speaking of which, have you ever tried aging Grim?
I have seen him in the park, and he talks to people, but the only way I could interact with him (besides being mean, and I'm not dumb enough to anger the Grim Reaper) was if I invited him to join conversation with someone else.
Even then, I couldn't address him directly, so I settled at making Jokes. (We're BFs now, though the communication barrier is still there)
He behaves the same as Casey when I try to age him though even though he has the trigger age transition thingie when you click on him.
I'm curious!

No, I never aged up Grim. I'd only recently worked out you could age up other sims other than your own.
Yes, the toddlers seem to do strange things. One of mine was at the park with his mother and she picked him up to take him home in the car, but then she got home and the toddler wasn't there. He was walking home (as he'd learnt to walk lol) all the way from the park! Took the poor little thing hours to get home.

S'okay, I only recently worked out there were cheats(gasp!) in the game, so I'm going crazy on them.
Yeah, I hate that... You tell them all to do ONE thing, then poof! each one decides stuff on their own. I started aging up toddlers and babies since they're too much of a hassle to deal with...
At least kids don't force me to fork over my money to those Slob, Kleptomaniac babysitters (one left my toddler sim outside; she couldn't go in because the door had steps; I as so mad I fired her.)
Hahaha, same. Keeps the game interesting though.
Thanks for your feedback!!! You've been awesomely helpful.
