Rabbit holes?

What does that mean? I keep hearing about Rabbit holes. I keep going to mat view and don't see rabbit holes and I don't remember bunnies being in the sims 3. Or am I way off with the meaning of rabbit holes?

"Rabbit holes" are places that your Sim disappears into and you are unable to follow him/her.  Workplaces, the school, the diner - places like that.  Unfortunately, no bunnies involved at all.

I'm unable to see my sim doing their job when they go to work and when I want to see the inside it won't let me. Is that a rabbit hole or just how the game is made?

It's how the game is made, and "rabbit holes" is the term for places like that where you can't see the inside.
