Issue with subway/car/limo

So my Sim was pregnant, and went into labour. I clicked for husband to take her to hospital. He joined my family after marriage with a car in his inventory. My female sim is a 4 star celeb, so gets to use a limo. So the limo takes them part way to the hospital, whereby she gets out and USES THE SUBWAY, while the husband then uses his own car. After her excruciating trip on the subway, she finally arrives at hospital, where her husband is patiently waiting for her. I'm new to Sims on PC, so was wondering why she doesn't go in his car? His car stays in his inventory, as they live in an apartment. Is there a car ownership option? If it's set to him, would this cause female sim to not travel in it?

One thing is that the mother always drives to the hospital.  If the car is in the husband's inventory, she won't have access to it.  Even when you tell the husband to take her to the hospital, she's still going to be the one driving.  So, in this case, her car was the limo.  Stopping to get on the subway is just one of the quirks of playing in Bridgeport.  They're programmed to take the most "convenient" mode of transportation and that's sometimes actually the most difficult mode.

Thanks Pam. Just seemed ironic to me that she's the one about to give birth (to twins, too lol), and had to use public transport while the husband drives all the way. Then the husband had the audacity to do the "impatient foot tapping" while waiting for her. I did like how she went into hospital snd basically came out straight away with the babies. I guess labour progressed while she was on the train. On the PS3 version (which I've recently switched from), the female sim would turn up at hospital and then you'd have several hours of waiting before she emerged with her newborn.

The labor is timed, 2 hours if I remember correctly.  So if you send your sim  to the hospital fast, they will remain in there till the 2 hours is up then she emerges with the newborn.
