They are taking away my retirement!

This is a new one on me!  Was playing my retired ghostbuster and when noon came around, it said its normal, "received pension", but it had a minus sign in front of it.       I thought that was weird, so I looked in the career tab and it says
"-$400.00/a day, retired".  I am thinking, now this is not right, so I wrote down the amount they had and waited until the next day and sure enough, they took it away from my sim, not gave her the retirement.  I do believe that has to be a glitch.  Of course she is elder, so can't really start her on her career again, so if anyone has any suggestions, let me know.  So not fair.

But to react on your last line, because I think to have an answer to that: you can make her having a career again when she is elder.
Oh well, the only downside is that you can't have a retirement that way I believe...

Was she involved in retirement fraude? Because somebody said in another thread that firefighters and ghostbusters get 4000 a day or something. Maybe the government has found it out and makes you pay back...

This is true Leto.  They have some money and they both sculpt and he does sculpting and inventing, so I guess I could try putting her in ghostbusting again, but not sure it is worth it.  She only has like 15 days before grimmy comes.  I just hate thinking that they are taking money out of the account and I tested it, like twice to make sure before I posted, so I would not sound like an idiot, but it is true.  Oh well, not going to worry about it, the son takes over the house when they pass on, so at least he will have the house.

Losing 400.00 a day, that adds up.  My retired firefighter was one of the ones that got like 10,000 a day when he retired, but he has since passed and no one else has gotten that kind of money.

Well, if you still are looking for an solution, let me (us) know. You have 15 days, simdays you've said. You maybe could consider to put the lifespan bar in the option menu a little bit more to the right.

Might try that and see if I can get her through the same profession and see if it takes it away or gives it to her.  I just hate seeing the minus everyday.

You could always take a self-employed type career just to avoid the $400 hit every day.  That's terrible though!  What an awful bug!

To drag myself back ontopic (because being offtopic underneath two moderators is just asking for trouble ), have you already informed EA about this bug AriaGirl, I mean Saltypaws? Because it must be a bug, and because I'm not really sure if anyone else have encounter a problem like this, I believe it is a rare one, which EA would love to add to their collection.

I never realized that, but you're right!  Also, the Sim in your signature, Leto, was one of my Sims in the Random Wishmasters challenge.  I named him Moe Brady.
