CAS Contests 2013: 12 - The New Breed

The Situation:
How do new breeds of dogs, cats or horses come about?  Through selective breeding.  Animals with certain characteristics - size, coat type, conformation, temperament, etc - are bred with other animals with similar characteristics, and gradually the offspring acquire distinctive traits.

Your Task:
Your task is to create a pair of animals that will be used as the beginning of a new breed.  Your animals can be dogs, cats or horses, and you need a male and a female.  Use the sliders and other Create-a-Pet tools to come up with the most distinctive-looking animals possible.  And please suggest a name for your new breed.

The American Cats

Stars and Stripes are the first 'American Cats', a new breed of cat that has been genetically altered to represent the USA in style! We hope that they will have many kittens who will be the beginning of this marvellous new breed of Cat who is 100% American!

Max Corona : Adult Male Dog

Lola Corona : Adult Female Dog
Traits : Adventurous - Friendly - Hunter

This is a New Breed of dogs . This new breed was achieved by crossing a Papillon with a Miniature Pinscher ( also known as a MinPin ) . Both breeds are of similar size but have different coats . The perfect companion and lap dog . This breed is also very smart , curious and affectionate . They also love to hunt .

Just the two animals, male and female.  You can upload them in whatever way works best for you.

Front Seat
A policeman in the big city stops a man in a car with a zebra in the front seat. "What are you doing with that zebra?" He exclaimed, "You should take it to the zoo."  The following week, the same policeman sees the same man with the zebra again in the front seat, with both of them wearing sunglasses.  The policeman pulls him over.  "I thought you were going to take that zebra to the zoo!"  The man replied, "I did.  We had such a good time we are going to the beach this weekend!"

The Painted Cats
Splatter and Void are two cats born from years of selective breeding. They were chosen for their very distinctive coats. Now, they are finally being brought together to determine what design will win out. Will the bright colors overcome the dark shadows? Will light overcome dark? Will spots overcome stripes? Needless to say that this pair will indeed produce some very interesting offspring!

Hi, sorry to be clueless... but how does one upload a pet or couple of pets on their own without a Sim? I tried creating some pets for this competition, but had to create a Sim as well. I think I'm missing something?

When you are in CAS, do you not have the option to just save the animal to the library or to share? sorry, I haven't actually done it myself and it's too late to fire up the game to see (almost bedtime for me0 I'm sure someone will come along with the right answer though.

*edit* If you go to this page and scroll down to where it says more options on selected sims - that's the share button I was talking about.
