Request: An Island
« on: August 19, 2010, 07:01:02 AM »
Is it possible for anybody to make me an island? I need it to be smallish and it must have roads. It needn't have lots, but must have room for all rabbit holes (Ambitions included) also a 4-7 spares (for pool, library, etc. and future Late Night lots) If possible it should have a lake. Must be tested for tears and other land glitchs. I know this is quite a lot to ask, but I have been trying to find a sutible island to no avail. Your help is much appreciated! :)

I'm moving this thread to the building section, hopefully you'll have more help there. :)

Well I'm just starting to dabble around with a small island. Do you need it very soon?

Or i was just looking at my sims reality and they have a Cape Cavell which kinda looks exactly like you described.

Enough players who could help you with that here. Myself, too, I am an option.
But to throw this out there: did you not succeed in making an island yourself? Or can your computer not handle it?

Sorry. Thanks for moving it, AriaGirl77.
I have tried making an island, but I really don't have the skills to do it. Cape Clavell isn't quite big enough, and it's not really what I'm looking for, it's very flat. I don't need it very soon, but I'll be busy for the next 2/3 weeks.

Not sure if this is what you mean by an island, but here's Sim'awaii

http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=3149417

- No CC and no Mods used
- my first world so it's alittle rough around the edges, but no game breakers found

That looks pretty cool arclight, as far as I can say that from a distance. Can you maybe upload some detailed photos here? I wonder if this is what Ruby was looking for.

It's a nice, kinda small but compact island. since its my first world, there are quirks and mistakes; read my blog about it on the sims3 website (  http://www.thesims3.com/mypage/mk_wlsh  ), that will tell you the issues Ive found  (like for instance, why there is no longer a blasted pond in the graveyard  ??? )So far, nothing I've found cant be fixed within 5 minutes in town edit mode.

Heres the stats for this thing-
Created: 09/25/10
  English
World Name: Sim'awaii
Description

An island in the Hawaiin island chain

World Name: Sim'awaii
World Size: 2048x2048
Number of Lots: 54
     Commercial Lots: 17
     Residential Lots: 37
     Occupied Lots: 0
Number of Residents: 0
Description

An island in the Hawaiin island chain

My biggest irritation about this (and I am so my biggest critic) is that its an empty world; sorry about that, but youre  going to have to put your neighbors in yourself.

arclight you have a grocery store, or some other building sitting on top of the Bistro's outdoor eating area so that would make it impossible to use.  It's the only entrance to that rabbit hole.  Great job though.  Not something I've ever attempted in Sims3 for sure, and my attempts in Sims 2 were less than wonderful.  lol
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Really? Ill check that out; I thought I made sure I visited every rabbit-hole to ensure functionality; thanks  ;D  Oh, one thing I remembered; that fireman's pole in the Laandgrab industrial complex is supposed to be a tether ball, not sure how that happened...

Any change that the tether ball originally came from the store? If it does, the game will replace that item with something ilsimilar for other players online who want to download it. But why was choosen for a firedepartment pole, I don't know...
