So sorry! Honestly didn't think that any of that would be thought of as "strategy talk". My apologies. I'll be more careful next time.

Welcome to the forum TheWaybad. We are happy to have you here.

No problem with the strategy talk.  We have all done it once or twice hehe.  If you have any questions, please write a PM that includes the whole challenge team (ratchie, Metropolitan Man, Nutella and Blackrosea). Thanks in advance. Have fun and good luck on your file.

Fishing and selling the fish would count as "Self-employed" for the stay-at-home Sim, right? Even if they don't register as self-employed?

As long as the stay at home Sim is not self-employed through the town hall option, it is fine.  You just can not have them doing any job, self-employment, profession, or own a resort.

Mark me as DNF (school bus left without one of the children).

Anyways, the challenge was awesome  ;D Made me learn sooooo much about the game  :)

Hehe, sorry about those pesky kids. I am really glad you enjoyed this challenge. Good luck with the opportunity challenge, if you choose to play it.

Thanks for clearing that up with me, Blackrosea. That makes things (marginally) more easy!

On a separate note - this hasn't happened but wondered about it because it almost did - what happens if my military sim automatically goes to the hospital for a birth just before the carpool arrives for work? Will that count as missing work?

Thankfully, the time it almost happened, I was panicking right up until I realised it was Sunday, and therefore they had the day off XD

At the moment 3 of my children have the school bus in their queue, but they're not on it, they're running to catch it as it heads toward the school. If they get to school by 10 am, are they still good? If not, put me down for DNF. This was a great challenge, by the way, and I did learn a few things about what happens when you move in-game.

I am assuming they are not on the bus because of something out of your control. I suppose if they get to school by 10 we can let it slide unless the other team members have an issue.

I'm ok with it.

It's a moot point. The last one just quit running, and I had to put him on his bike. Thanks anyway, guys, and best of luck to everyone else!
Final Score: DNF.

Metropolis Man I sent you a question I had about the rules in a PM the other day because I thought we weren't supposed to ask questions that might be about strategy on the forum, I'm waiting to play that file because I wanted to make sure I understood the rule, can you clarify it for me?

Thanks :)
