But the challenge was nice and I might try again, informally.. I should learn how to get this going efficiently. I'm so amazed at people finishing at 30 days?!

33 days. I made a few mistakes both in week 1 and 2 and very late in the game I realized that I could still squeeze out a few days, but...
I don't think I'll ever want to complete the Surrounded by family LTW again! Especially on a long lifespan:P Still I enjoyed it very much and am glad to finish in a challenge on this forum for the first time.
Thanks for changing the rules, I almost panicked thinking I DNFed until I saw Metro's rule change and happily continued.

I loved this challenge.  It was definitely  my favourite.  The practice went well, I thought I was even in with a chance of posting a decent score for the first time.  However, it all started to go pear-shaped when Sarah Soldier decided to have twins   I hadn't planned for that and it all went down hill from there.  The final straw was in world 4, I relaxed just for a minute and then it happened and so its a DNF for me.  Sorry.  Good luck to the rest of you and don't relax for a second !

Completed in 58 days. The challenge itself was fun, but I never warmed up to the family. Hate when that happens!

Finished at 43 days. While I thought this was a good score, I see many people finished way before that. I am very interested to hear how so many finished much earlier. One of the things I love most about these challenges is while it does humble me.  It also helps me learn so much more.  Congrats to everyone who finished with so many great scores!!!

DNF for me too  . I've never had sims so opposed to woohooing and so prone to twins! My house was full by town 3. I can't wait to see some of the strategies for the great scores! Thanks Blackrosea for such a great challenge!

This was my first challenge in a  long time and boy was it fun! It wasn't too much of a grind until I was waiting for surrounded by family to finish. But I had lots of fun with my family and might play them some more after the challenge.
