Sometimes when you move to a new town, you go straight to the regular setup menu instead of seeing your family.

I want to know if I can try to restart from the last save - you save before you move, or if it's a direct DNF.

If you get a "buggy" move, you can restart from last save.  Nothing is DNF now, because the challenge hasn't started.   ;)

I know it's not a DNF now, but this happens to me about every 10 move or so - so I just wanted to be sure.

It would be unfair for people with buggy move if we declare them DNF.  So yes, you're clear to restart from last save if that happens.  Why does sims3 have so many bugs?

A child in my family had a two day moodlet for feeling "germy". Her teacher sent her home, because she was sick. She was not "missing school", it just said that her school starts in 1 d 23 h (or something like that). This has never happened before in my game (I have not had Seasons for long). Is this ok or would it be game over if it happened in the scoring file?

Tipi-

I am unsure how we want to handle this "germy" situation at this moment.  The team will discuss this (hopefully tomorrow) and get back with a decision on this.

The team will need another day to pow wow about the "germy" situation, sorry for the delay.

Regarding the "germy" situation, the team decided on the following change:

NOTE: Adults cannot miss work, not even if they are sick. Sick children can stay home only if they have been sent home from school.

We also have decided to ban any content from the new expansion coming up "Into the Future" since it is coming out in the middle of the challenge.

I am a bit confused about the scoring, but it may be because I don't know how to move towns properly.

To move towns, don't you have to save the family to the board and then open them up again in another town? Then wouldn't the clock reset? Meaning that you'd start again on day 1, and the score is just the fourth world's time?

I am assuming I am wrong, so please let me know where my thinking has gone askew!

MarianT — your last post had some strategy elements to it and has been removed.

Alexandria_ — be careful of the kinds of advice you seek in the actual challenge thread.

Sorry Metro. I'm not sure what I've said in regards to strategy, but I'll message you my question because I'm confused about a few things.
