I admit I had originally planed to do horseman/horse riding combo from my sixth heir in my previous dynasty but once he was born I started to think and after pondering the requirements and the time he had to get it done I decided against it and go with another career and skill challenges combo, wound up not needing it due to the save file getting lost but I did use that combo in my current one. It was the acrobat and martial arts one, worked marvelously.

I still hope everything works out for you though.

Aw, Sophia is so pretty! I love her outfits. I bet she and John will make some adorable nooboos. Good luck on getting Filly through everything in time! I bet horse riding must be difficult to get done on such a short life span.

I hope Filly can get the remainder of her requirements done in a timely manner!

Nice to see that Sophia found some happiness, though.

I've always wanted to resurrect Sophia.  She's my favorite DV ghost.

Oh, time moves so quickly sometimes! I hope you get it done in time...

That medium lifespan is no joke!

It would've been much easier for me if I'd either had more land to put stables on or had lived closer to the training grounds.  Once the horses are "trained" and bffs with your sim, they can level up on their own, which is a huge help.

Their kids are some of the most unique looking sims I've ever had.  I know, this might be due to a weakness for clone townies (cough ... half the Classic spouses), but still!  You'll see.

---

It came to be that Sophia gave birth to twins.  John was stuck somewhere and no matter how many times the Watcher reset him, he'd always agree to come over and then immediately cancel.  So it passed that Sophia began the process of raising her children alone.

There was Beryl, a human girl born a little grumpy but a perfect genius:

And Wolfgang, a fairy who loved the outdoors (unlike his mother), but was a little absentminded.

The Watcher was agog at the cuteness.

Filly missed it all, pushing through the snow to get to her goal.

But her fiance had time to fall in love with some of the joys of parenthood.

Which was good, because Sophia was at her limit.

The twins became children, still remarkably adorable.

They spent most of their winter at play since school gets cancelled on the reg when it snows.  It was a mercy, at the least that they got along.

When spring rolled around, they had an opportunity to at least get up to B grades.  Which they worked at vigilantly.

Sophia even stepped away from the chemistry table to help her son, who learned better outdoors, in miserable cold rain.  She's a solid mom, that Sophia.

John was either still stuck somewhere or a really creative deadbeat of a father.

Filly, having reached level 10 of her career (yaaaaay), adopted a foal named Centari.  This foal would be her final horsie best friend and the horse that would remain with the Clojos permanently.

As soon as they were BFFs, Sophia's chemistry paid off.

Our girl was back.

And while she was aging down, our resident teens were aging up.  They were both summarily unimpressed with the world from the POV of teenagers.

Some makeovers did help improve their general enthusiasm though.  They had to be ready for the long awaited Clojo wedding, after all.

The wedding was held at dawn the day after Filly aged down.  She was not a woman who was inclined to wait.  It rained through the ceremony, but a quick trip to the climatron unit on Wolfgang's part saw to the rest of the festivities.

Corrin was a *very* happy man.

The beach proved to be a wonderful spot for a wedding, despite the earlier weather.

And Filly felt that even if the sun had shone all day, it wouldn't have been more perfect.

As it grew dark and the guests began to filter home, Corrin surprised his new wife with a special trip above Dragon Valley.

Meanwhile, Sophia and her children shooed guests and spent time bonding and sighing over the perfect romance of the day.

They were unaware that they were being observed by the bride and groom, floating on both the literal air of the balloon and the fondness that only adopted family can provide.

Their trip lasted well into the night.  It was an ideal hot air balloon ride.  Though, one that maybe involved a little less sight-seeing than you might imagine.

Side note: it freaks me out how skinny Beryl is.  Is this normal?

Skinny teens always look unusually skinny, in my experience.

For some reason, all the female teens in my game look awkward. :/

Yay! Nooboo heir soon!

Glad the crisis was averted  :).

Force-feed Beryl and don't let her learn athletic?  She really is quite scarily thin.

Such great looking kids, indeed. Beryl will probably fill out a bit once she ages up, in my experience. Congrats to Filly, for both meeting the requirements and on a gorgeous wedding.

Glad that everything worked out well for you!

Unfortunately looking like that is how it goes when the weight slider is at the lower end, I hope she fills out somewhat as a young adult.

Sibling Rivalry

Filly and Corren (I've been spelling his name with an i, whoops) decided that Morgana's old room would belong to their eventual heir.  They spent their wedding night alternately woohooing (in their own room) and planning what kind of person their son or daughter would be.

Despite several, several attempts and a last ditch fertility treatment for Mr. Clojo, no chimes were heard and no morning sickness was felt.  This annoyed the Watcher greatly, but Filly and Corren didn't seem worried at all.

The Spring Festival (ie. the most boring festival) was in town and the family was enjoying Filly's freedom by spending some quality time together.

And then, like a shot to the stomach, Morgana noticed someone out of the corner of her eye.  Could it be?

John!  You're alive!  Come meet your children.  Or better yet, go get drunk with your wayward girlfriend.

She's missed you.

Plus, the twins are teenagers now and are pretty self sufficient.

Later, Filly, still trying for a baby, now in her future child's room, which is weird, decided to announce her pregnancy to the world.  Too late to wear the extra super cute maternity clothes I made for her.  Oh well.

She prepared vigilantly for the little bundle.

Only taking time off to put out literal fires.

To the Watcher's annoyance, it was discovered that horse racing trophies can't be added to the display cases.  Which is some nonsense.  We also have a spring gnome problem.

Wolfgang has become a proficient fairy in his short life.  He always wishes to repair the things that break by shrinking down and tinkering with their insides, but the butler is too fast for him.

Beryl, who is truly gorgeous at times, despite her very very thin body, became a virtuoso as a teen and is already halfway up the violin skill ladder.

Filly marvels over how smart Sophia's children are and wonders what she'll teach her own.  Corren fantasizes about having a son, but Filly is staying clear of all influencing fruits.

Centari mostly hopes that she'll still be a beloved baby.

When the labor hit her, Filly made such a loud noise that the butler dropped trash all over the kitchen floor and never cleaned it up.

Her husband quickly whisked her to the hospital in the motive mobile.  He cheered her on but was nervous about actually witnessing the decline into depraved primal pain that birthing entailed.

Surprise, surprise.  Filly had twin boys.  Our heir is named David.

And his brother is called Paul.

When they aged up, all were anxious to see how they'd look.  Somehow Sophia got cake duty for both boys.

David is acceptably cute, though the Watcher is considering giving him his daddy's haircolor.

Little spare Paul looks like ... oh my crap, that is the cutest kid I've ever seen.  Prepare to be spoiled, little guy.

You're now obligated to post loads of toddler spam of those two. They're just so cute! David kind of reminds me of your Yakshi kids with that jaw.

Definitely getting some unique features into the family gene pool. Well, I think we all have a pretty good idea who at least one of the boys will marry. For some reason, Paul makes me think of Smeagol with those eyes. Not that that makes him any less cute!

I captured lots.  David does have a prominent jaw.  I thought about sending Mina to DV, but I figure she'd just overwhelm their gene pool.

I love his droopy tragic clown eyes.  He is so adorable.  I feel guilty for having immediate "why aren't you the heir" thoughts.

I'm really surprised it took so long!  I've left it randomized and got a ton of girls.

------

Giving David his father's hair color turned out to be an inspired decision.  His cuteness improved tenfold that day.

Paul just kept doing what he was doing.

Because their parents were so occupied with skilling, Sophia took it upon herself to clean out Morgana's old room and make it suitable for twin boys.

It was a little slapdash, but perfectly acceptable for such a short life stage.

Meanwhile the boys were learning to communicate.

Taking their toddling first steps.

And doing the other necessary things.

They got a package from Starlight Shores from Champagne Classic with two dolls inside.  David named his Pieta.  His latent insanity trait made him completely obsessed with her.

Paul was more politely entertained by his doll.  He still enjoyed it though.

And besides, playing with the grown ups in the house was much more fun.

Centari had her adult birthday and came into her celestial coloring quite beautifully.

In fact, birthdays were the theme of the week in the Clojo household.

The boys were moving on to the child stage.

And the teens were becoming adults.

David, our insane artist, picked up the perfectionist trait, which was good news for the butler, who was pretty exhausted with her current workload.  This little guy would be a fiend for washing dishes and making his bed.

His brother was more of a people pleaser than a driven self improver.  He is a brave daredevil, so there may be some early gray hairs for his parents.  Friendly little chap, though.

Beryl has decided to pursue a career as a singer.  She rolled the wish relentlessly until the Watcher gave in.

She is still very thin.

Wolfgang is currently open to opportunities.  His main priority in life will be bestowing magical makeovers to people and really maxing out his worth as a fairy.

Turns out, he's got really skinny legs himself.  Perhaps it's just a gene.

From here, it should be a nice period of time, if everyone can avoid Paul's whoopie cushions.

And ignore David's insanity.
