Arthur and Luna are gorgeous kids. And Liam is too. Now I really need to explore Dragon Valley!

The line about Morgana needing to shave her forehead made me laugh so hard. I hate it when my sim-kids age up into that hairstyle too.

Oh my gosh Liam is so cool looking. Snag him immediately.

I shall.

Is Fiona ever going to reenter the story?

She may appear here and there, but she will not be an ever-present entity.  Her primary purpose was to get Sugar off on the right foot.  Plus she has alien-boos to take care of these days.

Rainbow, unique hair color, yellow eyes, and handsome to boot: Liam is a great catch! Arthur and Luna are pretty stinkin' cute together too. And oh goodness, yet more potty age ups! Haha, "classic".  :P

He is a great catch.  He's a toddler at the beginning of the game, so he will always look just as he does when he gets to the teen/adult stage.  Baby Eames was a girl in this game, but she is fantastic looking as well.

Arthur and Luna are gorgeous kids. And Liam is too. Now I really need to explore Dragon Valley!

The line about Morgana needing to shave her forehead made me laugh so hard. I hate it when my sim-kids age up into that hairstyle too.

She got it again as a young adult.  It's awful.  And yes, Dragon Valley has amazing looking sims.  I intend for a lot of the 50 potions Morgana has to throw to be fountains of youth and supernatural conversion elixirs so future generations have a lot of choices.

----

It was at once surprising and predictable how quickly Arthur and Luna became best friends.

If nothing else, it gave Luna cause to be more polite toward Sugar.

In all honesty, the wind had gone out of Ava's sails quite a lot when it came to the Sugar thing.  But at this point, it was so entertaining to play the part, she just couldn't stop.

Sugar, for the most part, ignored it.  Except for that time with the voodoo doll Ava had procured for Morgana's magic lair.

Honestly, Ava was shocked that it had worked.  She isn't a witch and generally has passing nil experiences with magic objects.  She quickly stowed away the voodoo doll content in the fact that for the rest of her life, every time Sugar stubbed a toe or broke a nail, she'd suspect it was Ava's doing.

Morgana, for her part, was doing excellently.  She had a new bedroom built in the front-facing part of the new second floor.

The expanded house looks like so:

The Watcher is pleased with its gingerbread-esque aesthetic.  Winter did make for a beautiful setting.

Luna took it upon herself to age up the same day as Arthur.  With only two days between them and an A in school, it seemed the thing to do.

And just in time, as well.

Before even the dresser, the first order of business for the two of them was to agree to attend prom together.  It was a given.

To demonstrate how much of a clone Luna is of her mother, here she is with the same hairstyle:

She did eventually go her own way, though.  Prepped for the winter.

Arthur got all the interesting genes on the Clojo side, though his ears are a bit much.

When Liam came around, he did his best to impress all adults in the household.  Divorce notwithstanding, Ava and Sean had a lifetime of playing off of each other behind them and enjoyed making the boy nervous.

Prom night came on a cold night, making formal outfits a moot point.

Morgana was queen, and very pleased with it.

Luna and Arthur tried twice to get a good prom picture, but Arthur seems incapable of making a normal face.

Oh well.  Prom was a last hurrah for Morgana before adulthood.

Her full wardrobe will be posted in an extra post following this one.  Fair to say she embraced her status as the foremost witch of Dragon Valley and inherited the Clojo irresistiblity that all other heirs have enjoyed.

Arthur and Luna, at this point were officially a couple and spent many hours wasting away the day ice skating on the pond next to the house.

Ava was fine with this and a enjoyed chewing on the bit of irony that would have her daughter in a romance with Sean's son.  They had her blessing.

Morgana graduated high school with an A, but no awards or accolades.  This was fine by her.

She had what really mattered.

Though they weren't yet wed, Liam moved in and tamed his 'fro.  His LTW to become a lifeguard was unrealistic in this setting, so he would be working toward the points to change that to something attainable.  He came with a level 6 in handiness and very kissable lips.

The long process of Morgana finishing her requirements loomed ahead.  Her career would be the easy part.  Waiting for those opportunities and making four million potions on the other hand ... let's just say it'll be a long winter.

Morgana's Young Adult Wardrobe

In an effort to maintain the medieval aesthetic of DV, I tried a lot of medieval clothes on Morgana.  I'm surprised the game didn't crash.  Her coloring created a bit of a challenge, especially since I was already in love with that hairdo.  Here's how it ended up:

Every Day:

Making all the required alchemy potions is incredibly easy ("buy 150 tomatoes and make Vials of Bliss" is my preferred method), but getting ops for an alchemist is the worst. Good luck to Morgana! At least her wardrobe turned out nice.

Ugh, alchemy has almost to none opportunities.  I've only seen one alchemy opportunity, and only when in moonlight falls too.  Good luck.

You actually can do the Alchemic Mastery op in any world; you just need the Vault of Antiquity and the Arboretum placed somewhere. But other than that, I think Morgana will need another skill. :P

Ah didn't know that, thanks for the tip Trip.  I never bother placing Vault of Antiquity or Arboretum anywhere else, too lazy.

She has charisma and logic for opportunities.  She shouldn't need to get past level 5 in either. :)

A Very Long Winter

Thanks, it is expanded from the studio cottage Sugar bought when she moved in, so the floor plan was already done.  I'm still proud of how it turned out though!

----

Liam's first order of business after his makeover was to announce to his mother his intentions to get married.

He wasn't a moment too soon.  After a lovely day at the winter festival, Maeve passed away, leaving Liam and his sister parentless.

Meanwhile, tragedy almost struck in the Clojo household itself.  Because jellybeans.

Arthur was quick to run to the rescue of his ladylove.

She was very grateful.  To the point where Arthur felt slightly emasculated.

Then, Liam was almost attacked by a zombie.  He chose to mock it and laugh instead.  The Watcher was surprised and impressed.  The zombie was embarrassed and left.

Winter trudged on slowly and soon, it was time for the teens to age up while the snow still raged outside

Luna wishes to be rich.  She also wants to join the photographer career.

Arthur wants to be a doctor like his uncle Sam.

And of course, they both wanted to move into a room together (finally).

Of course, they wasted no time at all getting engaged.

Arthur reclaimed his feelings of manhood that day.

The wedding was held at the lake where they'd ice skated so much.

It seemed to cancel their graduation ceremony, but neither minded.

They took to celebrating immediately.

And while schmoozing with wedding guests, Sean became an elder.

Sugar followed him a few days later.

And then Ava's hair.

She fixed it.

Liam and Morgana had decided to put off their wedding for a double couple trip to Egypt.  Morgana had particular interest in Egyptian magic and a relic called the Tear of Horus.

They couldn't go just yet, though.  Because Luna was expecting.

She and Arthur both wished for a boy, so Morgana conjured lots of apples to see to it.  Arthur couldn't believe his luck.

Ava was ready to be a grandma.  In her mind, her daughter was having children first, even though Sugar was this child's grandparent too.  Ava still saw it as a win.

And Luna had very little patience for Sugar's mothering tips.

She went into labor on that much-awaited first sunny day of spring.  Her mother helped her slush through the melting snow to get to the hospital.  Luna thought the first sprigs of green were a good omen.

She had a boy.  His name is Lance.

What is it with you and jellybeans, Tilia?  ;D Well, it looks like it provided Arthur with just the sort of motivation he needed to get that proposal! Huzzah for nooboo. And Ava? Worst. Birthday hair. Ever. Also, Liam is lookin' fine.

Yeah, you know ... I could always like ... not buy a plant and put it on the lot.  But at this point, they're such a comfortable plot device.  And it was the perfect addition to the secret magic atrium under the house.  Liam is hot.  Unfortunately it is seeming like so far in this playthrough all children produced are clones of the parent of the same gender.  Including townies that were in utero when the game started.  Little Lance is a third-generation copy of Sean.

Come on, game.  Mix dem features.  Please.

Passing the Torch

Little Lance grew up faster than anyone anticipated.

A sweet boy, he was a clone of his father and grandfather.  The whole house doted on him.

He was athletic and artistic, which made for creative playtime.

And a healthy disposition.

Meanwhile, Morgana finished two of her skill opportunities.  Her natural aptitude for magic surely didn't hurt.

It was Lance reaching his child birthday that gave the young adults in the house the opportunity to go on an adventure.

They chose Egypt.  Lots of people for Morgana to toss potions at, high end cameras for Luna, and tests of physical strength for Arthur.

It was an eventful but repetitive trip.  The main attraction, however, was a set of long-awaited nuptials.

Closely followed by a close encounter with the undead.

Unfortunately for them all, nothing lasts forever.  The night they returned, as Morgana was throwing her last potion (clone drone on Susie Stackholme), Baklava left the family.

Followed shortly by Sean.

Sugar wept in private to have lost her pet and her husband in the span of a few short hours.  She envied the skeleton maid her simple existence sometimes.

And a love affair that would never end in death.

Life moved on.  That was the hardest part for Sugar.  Things just kept going in spite of it.  Lance got bigger.

And the family was expecting a brand new member.

A small olive branch appeared in the form of Ava also losing her secret love the day Mason Stackholme passed away.  She and Luna had a private service with the Susies to say goodbye.

Shortly followed by Luna going into labor.

Chloe was born strong and bright.

She is a clone of her mother and grandmother Ava.

Sugar's heart mended a little with Chloe in her arms.

In fact, her days became filled with nothing but that giggling bundle of green.

Until one day those days ended.  And Sugar was happy to go.

She knew her daughter was well on her way to success.  She'd done the alchemic mastery challenge and was running through the celebrity gamut to finish up her requirements.  She was going to make it.

Even if, at times, the exhaustion made the new head of the Clojo clan a little loopy.

The family knew it was time for Sugar.  They'd miss her, but knew she was ready to go.  The one who mourned the hardest did so in private,  After all, only she and Sugar would ever understand the fragile line of love and hate that had grown between them over the course of a lifetime.

Aw, RIP Sugar. She seemed to exist simply to be affectionate and (pardon the pun) sweet. No, wait. You're welcome. That pun was cute.  I liked Sugar and Ava's relationship. I'm sorry it had to end. Maybe they can be frenemies in death, too.
