I love Clover's room, and outfits, and pretty much everything! She is just too stinking cute. I also love Sam getting the opposite features so we get to see the whole spectrum of colors. Such a sweet family.

It's so nice to see more of Freddie :)

Couldn't agree more.

What an adorable family! I think Freddie and Shawnya are a matching couple, you did a great job with setting them up. ;D
It will be interesting how Clover will deal with her flirtatious parents as she seems to be more earnest.

They are so beyond perfect together.  I love it so much.

I love everything about your story: your writing, the pictures, the founders, the kids, how you decorated the house.....

Thank you!!  I'm not much of a builder, but occasionally I'm happy with a finished room.  Still not my forte though.

They do very well together, don't you think?

I was pleased with that as well.  I was worried Freddie's genes would have the same effect they did on the Classics and just overpower everything.  Glad to see that isn't the case!

-----

Sam's toddlerhood wasn't overly eventful.  He was a quiet little boy who mostly kept to himself.  He loved his toddler books.

And the doll his Grandma Ophelia sent him.  Its name was Desdemona, but he just called her Desi.

He loved being cuddled quietly, and rocked.  But he was looking forward to being a big boy too.

His sparkles came while everyone was at work or school except for his Daddy.

He liked being bigger.  Unsurprisingly, he became a bookworm.

Recently, a second story had been added onto the house to accommodate the growing family.

It wasn't just Sam, whose bedroom was there in the back with all the bookshelves.  But also this lady.

Mommy seemed very happy to invite her to live with them.  Her name was Patty.  Her room is the pink one.

She got all new clothes and when she changed her hairstyle, it turned out that her hair was really black (?!) underneath the enchantment of red.

And that wasn't even the end of it!

This is Elodie.  A girl!  A girl Freddie!  Her name means Flower of the Field.

One person that didn't have a room or even an official place in the family (yet) was Sam's best friend Desi.

Elodie aged up while everyone but her Daddy was at work or school.  Freddie didn't mind.

She was bald, so Freddie bought her a snug winter cap.  It doesn't get too cold in Isla Paradiso, but he doesn't want his baby going dormant.

She only needs to sleep and socialize to stay happy.  She's a very easy toddler.

Freddie planted Elodie to solve the problem of Shawnya both wanting a third child and also to return to work.  She was wonderfully thrilled when she found out and dotes on the little girl.  And her Freddie.

Sam, for his part, stays glued to his books.

Though sometimes he lets Freddie "help" him with his homework so he feels like he's being a good dad.

Clover long ago stopped allowing Freddie near her homework.  Here she is doing hers before prom, which promptly deleted her from the household in some bizarre glitch, causing the Watcher to revert to a save approximately half a sim-day earlier.

Freddie has been feeling very content lately.  Content and a bit strange.  The other morning, he woke up with an alarming new moodlet in his array.  He's not really sure what to do about it.

They're not married, actually!  Freddie doesn't believe in the ownership implications of commitment ;)

It worries me that Clover was deleted when she went to prom. I'm glad you had a previous save. Hope you can get through the four generations without too much trouble.

Yeah, that concerns me too.  It actually took me ALL DAY Sunday to get Genie Patty's wardrobe done.  It crashed constantly.  I might have a corrupted piece of store clothing or something.  Maybe I should do a reinstall of all my store content ...

Oh no! Not the dreaded store re-install. That takes forever.

It does indeed.  I know something is wrong though because in both this story and my Yakshi one, the changing table registers as a black cube.

Snowflake Day came with a fresh layer of frost over Isla Paradiso.  Eager to feel the unusual chill, Clover took Sam to the winter festival.  She tried not to laugh at his skating attempts.

She knew how much Sam hated it when she called him "cute."

By the holiday, little Elodie had begun to sprout springy little green roots in the place of hair.

Having learned to walk, she trailed flowers and sprouts wherever she went, which sent Neat-traited Patty into a state of palpations and fairly constant wishes to make the house sparkly and clean.

By the time night fell, the whole family was cozy and warm, happy with the promise of spring.  Sam, his teen birthday right on the cusp, had a few questions for his sister.  The first was how she'd managed to get prom queen.

The second was how Grandma Ophelia became real, because he really wanted to take Desdemona with him to prom.

Clover gave advice.  In all honesty, she had no idea how she'd won prom queen.  Or ended up with pretty Taissa Jones as a love interest.  So she just told Sam to smile.

Even though she was pretty sure she'd forgotten to on her prom night.

Freddie spent almost all of his autonomous time these days with his youngest daughter.  Shawnya felt pleased rather than neglected by his show of family oriented affection.

Elodie was a charming little bundle.  She was even learning charisma at a startlingly young age.

And in any sense, Shawnya was occupied with their other daughter.  An heir with who shared her love of art.

And very much wanted to graduate with an A after that whole star quality thing.

Sam and Elodie had a small family birthday celebration.

Sam wished for Desdemona.

Elodie figured she'd save her wish for when she didn't already have all she wanted.  She became a party animal like her mother.

Sam became a great kisser.

And with the whole family finally old enough to sit at the table, they had cake and talked about all the little pieces of their lives.  Elodie rolled her first wish to dance under the full moon.

So while her brother went to the dresser, she and the other ladies in the house, went outside to dance on the crunchy frost under the glow of supernatural moonlight.  The university mascot joined in quite on her own.

And Sam embraced the island style.

On his way to bed, his phone rang with an opportunity.  THE opportunity.  Desi promised she could wait one more day.

The weekend dawned cool and crisp as the frost began to melt.  Elodie sprung out of bed, ready to do all the things that childhood afforded.

Sam made good on his opportunity.

And a surprisingly evil, though charming and lucky girl joined the household.

Freddie called his mother, concerned about Desi's evil trait.

"Well, what do you expect, darling?" said Ophelia.  "She was murdered, framed, and disowned.  It'll take a toll."

Freddie didn't pretend to understand.

In fact, he'd decided that his life was making its own decisions these days, and he'd just decided to roll with it.

So I wasn't imagining the Desdemona reference? Also, Freddie with a Faithful moodlet!? Excuse me, I'm going to go look for flying pigs.
I'm not pedantic! I just believe in precision of language.

Haha, well, I suppose that is the only 'logical' explanation for Freddie's otherwise unprecedented monogamous behavior! *sigh* I can't say I wasn't worried about the name Desdemona, especially after how poignant the Ophelia reference in the Classic's was. I hope things end up well for evil Desi and Sam, although it's certainly an inauspicious name.

You really have a thing with the names of your sims, especially Elodie and Desdemona are wonderful. Let's hope this Desi will have a brighter future than her namesake.

*cue long squee* Oh I LOVE this!  lol, I about choked on the tea I was drinking when I saw that Freddie had a Faithful moodlet!  Seriously, though.  This is perfect!  I mean, the crossover itself is just awesome, but the way you're playing them is even better!
