I had to change mine because I had to uninstall SEA due to it being too much for my computer.   I have installed now WA, SN and IP
As far as owning, the base game, WA, SEA, Pets, SN and IP.

I hope in a year or so I can get a new computer that will let me install all of them, plus a couple of the others, I'd like to get the Future one, and either Gen or Ambitions, not sure which one, maybe both.

But for now, I've reached my limit of expansion packs and store worlds.

Right now I play all of them except Showtime and Island Paradise, because those are the only two I don't have (yet). :)

I re-voted. (Hmm I've re-voted for awhile now hehe) I have all EP's and all SP's except Movie Stuff which I'll be getting in a few days.

I actually have more expansions than I actually have :), I stick to the ones I really like so the rest of my game functions better! Good question

I have the Deluxe Edition which gave me the base game plus Ambitions.  I want to get more but don't want to waste money on expansions that aren't really worth the dollars, eventually I'll get them all but I want the most bang for my buck as I plan on buying 1 expansion a month.

So what are the MUST have ones in your opinion?  I'm leaning toward Generations/World Adventures first if only because it's sold in a two pack at a bargain.  But are they a bargain because they're not as good as the others?

Since I last posted here, I've bought multiple expansions. I own World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise and Into the Future, as well as Town Life Stuff. I'm not sure which one is the "must have", since I've either not settled into them yet (Into the Future) or I've had them so long I don't know whether they're base game or an expansion (Generations). I use Generations the most, but it adds very little gameplay to my knowledge (A few parties, new objects) and is almost a stuff pack.

Generations is definitely the best EP in my opinion, closely followed by Ambitions. Generations adds lots and lots of new stuff such as prom, pranks, imaginary friends, chemistry(Young Again potions!), real weddings, new parties, new clothes and hair that actually look good, strollers, mid-life crises, clubhouses, video cameras, boarding school, field trips, sandpits, after-school clubs and sooooooooooo much more.

Generations and Ambitions are definitely must-haves.

Showtime is the least useful, for sure. Basically it gives you new town, 3 new careers, new clothes and hair and that is it. If you collecting them slowly, get Showtime last. It's a stuff pack for double the price.

Just to update, I now have ItF and I'm getting UL, Generations and WA really soon. I'll be getting Seasons, Supernatural, Pets and LN mid January.

No expansions at the moment, since I just started playing. Ambitions and University Life sounds nice, so maybe I'm gonna buy these pretty soon.

I am picky, and cheap! I ponder a long time before I plunk down money on an expansion, so I have only been picking them up when I had a use for them, or when it is unusually convenient.

Supernatural is what sold me on the game, and it is still a big favorite.

This year, when following a nasty virus I had to re-install the game, I also needed to replace it, my disks having gone AWOL. So I picked up the three-pack that bundled Late Night and High-End Loft Stuff with the game, making Late Night my second expansion.

I mostly play Young Adult Sims, and it seemed to offer a lot for them, so University Life was next. Still quite happy with it, though not currently playing the household I made to explore it.

I had been planning to get Ambitions next (and have). Hardly explored it yet, however, as my game has been totally turned upside-down by both spouses in my latest household wanting to adopt a child together. So, very abruptly, I found it expedient to pick up Generations.

That's it so far. We'll see what makes sense to add on from here.

I've played with all the expansions, but Supernatural, Ambitions, Seasons, and Generations have to be my favorite out of all of them. And because I have to re-install the entirety of my sims, I may just have those expansions and stop there. There are things I like about all of them, but having all the expansions causes heavy lag. (Especially when starting a new game. The University mascot and the time portal tend to appear at the same time, and it takes my game a while to realize what just happened and move on.)
