It doesn't seem fair, I get it, but I was just giving the reason they gave. Heck, even plumbots won't be able to be sold with it, as they can be sold via the bot emporium. besides, the market stalls allow you to sell plants to other sims, as long as it is stocked up and tended by someone. Although, if you want to do a garden centre type shop, that can be achieved with all the plants in buy mode.

Not quite yet anyway.  They are releasing one more expansion pack due out October 22.  After that, I imagine they'll start wrapping things up.  Even so, I would expect the Sims 3 Store to remain open for a time.  I remember that they didn't close the Sims 2 Store until well after Sims 3 started.

Does that happen then Pam? I was thinking there's so much I want from the sims3 store & I'd get them after I've got all the EPs & SPs. I didn't realise it'd be closed. Now I'm wondering if I should buy stuff from sims store then buy the cd hard copies of Eps & SPs. This is all new to me. What would you recommend as a seasoned simmer? There's still so much I want to add to my game but have to be sensible with money.

A SimGuru on the official forums says we can put a consignment register in our shops to sell our craftables/collectables - I've never heard of anyone running their own consignment store, so I'm hoping for some clarification on that.

you're welcome :)

*sigh* I have just read a reply from a sim guru on the official forums saying that the families that buy the items "probably" won't have the items if you switch families to them. That is very disappointing (though I guess I have said that phrase many times in the last week).

Thanks so much for posting this!  I'm really excited about the baby mat.  Finally!  Something to do with burritos.  The balloons are also the perfect mixture of cutsie whimsical and creepy as all get out.

Over the past week or so a few more interviews on some the townies have been posted. First is Lucien Hyde.

Lucien is a tortured artist whose only torturer is himself.  He enjoys being sad and the better he is, the sadder he gets.  It’s his thing.

Good morning, Lucien!  Thanks for joining us today.
Hyde:  Aren’t we a little past the general presumption that just because it’s morning that life defaults to being “good”?  Today is the same quagmire of hopelessness and despair as yesterday or the day before that.

Ok, well then “hello” and again, thank you for joining us.
   Hyde:  *Sigh* Whatever.

We understand that you’re an artist.  Tell us a little about that.
Hyde:  I don’t define myself as an “Artist”.  I am an observer of the darkness that surround us and reside within us.  I use a variety of media to shine a spotlight on that darkness for the world to see.

Um, OK.  But doesn’t a spotlight actually get rid of darkness?
Hyde:  You must think you’re SO clever.  Typical media.

Maybe we should change topics.  What brought you to Midnight Hollow?
Hyde:  I used to spend my days on the beach in Sunlit Tides but my girlfriend left me for a Masseuse.  Thanks for bringing up that painful and bitter part of my life.

I’m sorry to hear that.  Have you met anyone since moving into town?
Hyde: Kara Carter seems pretty interesting.  Or not.  She has a rather eclectic sense of style.  Makes you wonder what secrets she’s trying to cover up with all of that fashion.

Finally, tell us a little something people might not know about you.
Hyde: My mother says I have a delightful sense of humor.

Second was the Vasquez Family

Marina Vasquez is spitfire of an woman. Her personal philosophy of "I've lived this long, so why not?!" how amassed her a small personal fortune, eclectic (rich tacky?) taste, and a slew of failed marriages, but that won't slow her down. She's fallen head over heels for Fausto and though he's 25 years younger than her she just knows that he's the one! And if he's not? She's lived this long! So why not?

Fausto Vasquez has always been known for his good looks and his charming personality and he rode on those traits for most of his life. Now as he sees his youth fading and realizes he has no real talent or experience to speak of he realizes he needs a new plan. He can love someone significantly older than him right? Or at least pretend to for awhile?

Good afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Vasquez.  Thanks for meeting with me.  You have a lovely home.
Fausto Vasquez:  Thank you.  It’s a blend of vintage and modern.  I think it says a lot about who we are.

It looks like you two have a very interesting relationship.
Marina Vasquez:  We do.  He likes to shop online and I like him dressing up like the delivery boy to drop off a package.

That’s probably more information than we need to know.
Marina Vasquez:  Look Sparky.  Do you mind if I call you Sparky?

Actually I kinda do.  My name is...
Marina Vasquez:  Sparky, I stopped caring what people in this town think six administrations ago.  Before I met my little Fauzy-bear I was going to leave my fortune to my poodle.
Fausto Vasquez:  But now that Snuggles is dead, I’m the only one you’re leaving it too, right?  I mean, not that it matters.  But I AM the only one?
Marina Vasquez:  Of course!  But I’m sure we’ve got many happy years ahead of us.
Fausto Vasquez:  Sure.  But you never know what can happen.  Just look at what happened to Snuggles.
Marina Vasquez:  Yes.  I don’t know how she got out of her crate and past the door.
   Fausto Vasquez:  …and the gate.

Um… let’s move on.  Marina, you grew up in this town.  Is there anyone you would recommend I interview?
Marina Vasquez:  Have you met Wheeler?  If there was anyone that should have more money in town than I do, it’s him.  But you see him on the street and he’s this weird hobo.

Thanks for your time.

Next was the Doe Family.

The Doe family appears to be the picture of perfection. Jane is the perfect housewife, John is rising in the ranks at his corporate job, and their children are respectful and accomplished. With a life this perfect, we can’t help but wonder what it was that brought them to Midnight Hollow? What are they hiding behind their bright smiles?

Good Afternoon, Doe Family! Thank you for letting us be here today. You have a lovely home.
John: Well that’s all due to my wife Jane here.  The light of my life keeps my home perfect and welcoming.
Jane: Oh, John. You’re making me blush!

Aren’t you guys precious.  Let’s start off with you telling me a little bit about yourselves!
Jane: Would you like some more tea?

Uhm. No thank you.  The cup you gave me just moments ago with the fresh baked scones is excellent.
John: There’s nothing to tell really. I’m living the dream in the corporate life and I come home to a beautiful wife, a clean home and excellent children!

Well, it all seems pretty excellent.  So tell me, what brought you to Midnight Hollow? It seems a little dark for your sunny family.
Jane: *a little frantically* Are you sure you wouldn’t like that tea?
Joseph: *Gets up angrily, walks out of the house and slams the door*
Jenn: *Sits quietly and stares ahead with an eerie blank expression*
James: *Giggles and plays happily in the corner*
John: Uh. Heh. You know. Just a change of scenery. You never know where the winds will take you and all that.

Right.
…
So how about a tour of the house?
John: You know, it’s clear that Jane isn’t feeling too well. I think it’s time for you to go.

And finally, if you look at the Midnight Hollow Store Page and enter the backstory tab it will show you a new Sim. Well not really a new Sim.

Hello there friend,

Are you sick of feeling out of place?
Sick of feeling bad that there's no one around like you?
Sick of those smiling neighbors telling you to enjoy the "sunset" in the "valley?"

Then come to Midnight Hollow where it's good to be one of a kind!

Life is hard and people will always have something to say about you. "All of her husbands die mysteriously and suddenly" or "I think her son was fathered by the grim reaper" or "I'm pretty sure she's a murderer" ...Where do they come up with this stuff??

I moved here to get away from the "normal" life to find a life that's normal for me. Let them have their "starlights" and "shores," I'll take my century-old victorian mansion, eerie landscape and interesting neightbors every time.

Here's hoping you're next! - I meant being my new neighbor; not the whole murder thing FYI.

See you at Midnight Hollow!

Olive Specter! I wonder what Test Subject's name really is? Looks like Raven's got some competition. I see a trip in her future.

If I ever get this (and I probably won't) I'm so going to make the family secret be that they're all werewolves.
