The March of Time Salander didn’t like the hairstyle she was given as a young adult any more than she liked it as a teen.
Salander: Why do you even show me like this?
Watcher: So that the young people on the Forum can see what every blonde looked like in 1962.
To make up to her, the Watcher let Salander choose her everyday outfit.
Watcher: Don’t blame me if you catch pneumonia.
Salander: It’s got long sleeves. I don’t see what the problem is.
Both the Watcher and Salander agreed it was too bad she couldn’t have worn her formal to prom.
Soon after Salander aged up, she set her doll Boinky down, and she became a young adult, too.
Watcher: Did you give Boinky any potions?
Salander: No. I don’t even like her very much.
Watcher: Strange.
It was a relief when Boinky went back into Salander’s inventory.
Gavin and Angel took their relationship to the love machine expecting to be told that they were the hottest item since jalapeno peppers.
Love Machine: I’ve seen better pairs in a bowl of fruit.
Gavin: Dumb machine.
Angel: Maybe it knows something we don't.
Nevertheless, Gavin managed to get another dusty old lamp.
Gavin: I wish for Fortune!
Genie: Really? After your encounter with the Love Machine, I’d think you’d go for love.
Gavin: No way. I know when I’m well off.
This was happy news for Angel, who was not pleased about becoming an elder.
Watcher: You’re still very attractive.
Angel: That’s not the same as being a knock-out.
Watcher: Are you sure you want this dress?
Angel: Believe me, it’s the least unflattering.
Watcher: Do you want something edgier for your formal?
Angel: Which I’ll be wearing to high school graduation and possibly a wedding? No.
The last person to have a birthday was Holmes, who is now an adult.
Silver wishes she could have had her birthday already, before she went through the misery of prom. Aside from getting chosen Prom Queen, she had a terrible time. Her crush wouldn’t dance with her; even the class loser turned her down. (Actually, the Watcher suspects she might have been the only one at Prom – despite talking to friends all the time, Silver doesn’t seem to know any teens.)
