Holmes looks great with that shirt! Too sad that alienboos aren't allowed in most of the dynasties...or almost all, I think.  :-\

While, at least the Life State Dynasties welcome them! Holmes looks great generally, I think.

I just checked. Alien nooboos are allowed in all of the dynasties, but not the ones that result from abductions and male pregnancies. Actually, in this case, I'm glad, because Holmes hasn't completed his requirements yet, so he'd fail because of having an heir beforehand.

The March of Time

Salander didn’t like the hairstyle she was given as a young adult any more than she liked it as a teen.

Salander: Why do you even show me like this?

Watcher: So that the young people on the Forum can see what every blonde looked like in 1962.

To make up to her, the Watcher let Salander choose her everyday outfit.

Watcher: Don’t blame me if you catch pneumonia.

Salander: It’s got long sleeves. I don’t see what the problem is.

Both the Watcher and Salander agreed it was too bad she couldn’t have worn her formal to prom.

Soon after Salander aged up, she set her doll Boinky down, and she became a young adult, too.

Watcher: Did you give Boinky any potions?

Salander: No. I don’t even like her very much.

Watcher: Strange.

It was a relief when Boinky went back into Salander’s inventory.

Gavin and Angel took their relationship to the love machine expecting to be told that they were the hottest item since jalapeno peppers.

Love Machine: I’ve seen better pairs in a bowl of fruit.

Gavin: Dumb machine.

Angel: Maybe it knows something we don't.

Nevertheless, Gavin managed to get another dusty old lamp.

Gavin: I wish for Fortune!

Genie: Really? After your encounter with the Love Machine, I’d think you’d go for love.

Gavin: No way. I know when I’m well off.

This was happy news for Angel, who was not pleased about becoming an elder.

Watcher: You’re still very attractive.

Angel: That’s not the same as being a knock-out.

Watcher: Are you sure you want this dress?

Angel: Believe me, it’s the least unflattering.

Watcher: Do you want something edgier for your formal?

Angel: Which I’ll be wearing to high school graduation and possibly a wedding? No.

The last person to have a birthday was Holmes, who is now an adult.

Silver wishes she could have had her birthday already, before she went through the misery of prom. Aside from getting chosen Prom Queen, she had a terrible time. Her crush wouldn’t dance with her; even the class loser turned her down. (Actually, the Watcher suspects she might have been the only one at Prom – despite talking to friends all the time, Silver doesn’t seem to know any teens.)

Thanks, Magpie! I had a swatch for sea foam based on the hex codes at one time, but lost it when getting ready for a new expansion. It's not a bad color, just tricky.

Personally I like sea foam (my favourite is spiceberry though) but it just seems like every other sim has it as their favourite. It's like EA's "go-to" colour. I usually use it by choosing a different main colour with the sea foam being more of an accent colour.

“I Don’t Know Why You Say Good-bye, I Say Hello”

Soon after her prom, Silver became a young adult. Being proper, she found a dress she liked very much at a store that carried vintage clothing.

She graduated the next day at the top of her class, indeed, she was the only one in her class.

Salander was the next to have a birthday, becoming a full adult. She found a new hairstyle that she liked better than her old one (and certainly better than the early 60’s flip that she kept getting).

She also enjoyed playing chess with her imaginary friend Boinky on her new chessboard.

Meanwhile, Holmes was painting furiously, trying to finish all his requirements before Lynn became an elder and therefore ineligible to marry. He turned to futuristic themes for his inspiration.

One evening, much too soon as far as everyone was concerned, Angel died.

When Grim came for her, she pleaded that she only needed a few more points to get an obelisk, but Grim wouldn’t listen.

It was up to Gavin now to achieve enough happiness for an obelisk, but how could he do that with Angel gone?

With the help of a moodlet manager, Holmes overcame his grief. He arranged to meet Lynn Blanco at the Art Gallery, where he proposed.

She married him right away.

Since Lynn had a career in fashion, she took up sketching. While Holmes was interested in the future, Lynn was more intrigued by the past.

But it didn’t take long for her to find another interest when Poirot Pinkerton joined the family.*

   He soon became a toddler.

His father acquainted him with the requirements of the dynasty that he was in, reminding him that he would have to rack up quite a few happiness points before the Grim Reaper came.

And if Holmes didn’t get the message across, Granny Angel certainly did.

*Poirot gets his name from Hercule Poirot, the Belgian (not French) detective created by Agatha Christie.

Called it! And since when do people think Hercule Poirot is French? I've never had a lot of faith in the human race, but my last little bit is slipping.

I'm not saying that people on the Forum think Poirot is French, it's just that in the books they always do.
