Wow, I did not expect that at all. I thought the idea of Bessie and Izarra being childhood friends and meeting again was wonderful.

Chapter 12
Xander and I called the landscaper and an interior decorator to fill in the bones of Bellanova Manor.  We also put some money aside to purchase one of the most beautiful spots in Sunset Valley. Just across from Stoney Falls, we had the family mausoleum built, and on the first day of spring, that was where we gathered.

We put Bessie and Buster to rest on either side of the entrance. Within the catacombs, I placed the last painting Bessie had created, a portrait of me. With it I placed a glass sculpture Agnes had sculpted of me (she had done twenty-five ice sculptures before realizing that glass didn't melt) and a photograph Xander had taken of me on our wedding day. 

Photographs are cool. There have been a million moments that I wished I could capture on canvas, but they are so fleeting that I can not even hope to reproduce them. However, photographs capture that beauty in an instant, and allow you to manipulate it. You can take a colorful picture of a sunset…

… a timeless photo of two lovers …

… or a pocket sized portrait of your love.

I still have a fondness for the imaginative use of paint though.

(The real)Chapter 13
Connor Frio was not used to having to ask questions. He normally could just look up in a book the answers to any questions he might have. But today, he had a very important question to ask a very important woman.

He asked Emma to meet him at their spot. He was pacing a few yards away when she got there. She walked up to join him.
"Hi, honey, what's on your mind?"
"You."
"Oh?"
"I have a question."
"I may have an answer."
Connor had had a huge speech prepared, quoting famous authors and poets, about how wonderful Emma was. Said speech totally flew out the window now that it was actually time.
"Wiloomarme?" he stumbled out, mentally kicking himself.
"Pardon?"
Connor took a deep breath, got down on one knee, and pulled the ring from his pocket.

"Emma Hatch, will you marry me?"
Emma stared in shock for a moment. Normally, words came easily to her. She couldn't seem to find her voice now, and instead just held out her shaking hand for Connor to slide the ring onto.

She then wrapped her arms around him, finally finding her voice.
"Yes! Of course! I thought you would never ask!"


Okay! As soon as I can get everything to behave itself... we'll get these two kids hitched and producing lovely red-headed nooboos for us (and hopefully get an heir from Izarra and Xander!)

Wow, the Clavells dying within days of each other: how sweet! I'm agreeing with the mustard > ketchup battle; glad to see that Emma has good taste. I think "Wiloomarme" is now my most favorite proposal ever. Hahaha!

I'm a little disappointed that my guess for the question was incorrect, but if it means red-haired nooboos, I'm still happy.

The hopeless romantic in me was squee-ing like a schoolgirl when I read this chapter. Yay for love, marriage, and (hopefully) adorable red-headed nooboos to come!
