Pet shop

Is there a pet shop in pets please? I thought I saw I one on a YouTube clip but can't find it in game.

Graham's Pet Shop came with the Limited Edition of Pets.  If you don't have the limited edition, you won't have the Pet Shop lot or the Pet Shop cash register.

If you do have the limited edition, the lot should show up in the community lots library in Edit Town mode.  If I remember correctly, you have to set a lot of the proper size to "Pet Shop" and then place the lot in your town.

However, I also have a vague recollection that there were problems with the shop at some point, and it was removed from the game.  But I don't know that for certain, and I also heard it may have been put back by now.  So if you have the limited edition and just can't find the shop it may be related to whatever I vaguely remember about a technical glitch.  Hopefully someone else here will have some actual useful information for you if that's the case.

Don't worry, they didn't actually sell pets there like the Pet Store in the Sims 2. All pets are adopted. The only thing they sold were different houses/toys for pets.

Also, all of the items that are sold in the Pet Shop are available in Buy Mode and/or Buydebug.  So you're really only missing the store itself, nothing it sells.

Pam, I'm not sure that that's correct. To my knowledge, there are special beds and scratch posts that only come from the pet store cash register...

I think you have to redeem a code for the pet shop because it is in my purchase history at the Sims 3 store.

Yeah, I had the Limited Edition but didn't load my game for months because I was deciding whether or not to get Showtime (finally did on sale on Origin). By the time I tried to redeem my code, I couldn't get the shop (although there were still a few months before the code expired). After months of writing back and forth with EA, who claimed to be fixing the issue, I got a definitive answer that the pet store wasn't available. Rather sucky and ticked me off but good, especially when I see Worlds or lots that use the Pet Store.  I loved the store in S2 and was hoping for the same thing but I guess that isn't going to happen.
