Arrested DevelopmentsFirst things first when you're doing a dynasty. I always start by getting my sim a job, and this time's no different even though Cerise won't have to max it. She does however need two career rewards, so she (I) have opted for ghost hunting. It's rolling in rewards and it's got a fair few wishes associated with it too.
Not that she'll pop any of those wishes. Oh no.
That'd be the obvious thing to do.
Speaking of the obvious, she then gets on with one of the two skills she'll be raising in order to get her skill challenges, Street Art.
I don't think it's bad for a first attempt. I was imagining something like the early painting levels where it's child-like and messy, but this is actually really neat. Cerise isn't convinced, though.
Before she can have another go, though, she gets arrested. By a policeman she's instantly attracted to. I can just imagine the conversation -
"Come along now, you're nicked."
"But, officer... *bats eyelashes* Wouldn't you rather go on a date with me?"
"Get in the car."
At least he's a fairy. I even vaguely considered him as a spouse choice just because it'd be funny. But then he fined her £1000, which is pretty much everything she had, and suddenly he's out of favour with Cerise.
It might be for the best.
I had someone in mind for Cerise right from picking Moonlight Falls as my town. I've seen him used in one other Lifestates Dynasty and ever since then he's been the only werewolf for me.
Cerise: You can keep him then. He's old. And he appears to already have a lady-friend.
Shh, you. This is a story where I talk and you keep quiet.
Yep, it's Pappy Wolff. I like him, even if Cerise doesn't. His only real flaw (other than insanity, age gap, creepily small eyes and his lack of skills) is that he's poor and therefore won't bring any money into the house. But we're going for the challenge here, right?
A little bit of pillow fighting...
...a friendly hug...
...and then off home to sleep.
The next day he's invited over to be asked to move in, just on the off chance he may somehow have gained a really nice car overnight from absolutely nowhere (Spoiler: he hadn't).
And, because it's what you do when someone new moves into your house, Cerise runs off to work. I suppose it's not like she needs to show him where anything is, because half of it's out on the lawn and the other half's the toilet.
Plus, we need to get ghost-hunting to get those career rewards.
So Day 3 dawns, with Cerise at level 2 of her career, Pappy her targetted spouse moved in, and absolutely nothing else accomplished except for that arrest. Time for some romance.
Pappy goes in there with the flowers. He's two lifestages ahead of her and in any context but the Sims this would be very, very creepy.
A bit of flirting. I don't think she dislikes him as much as she claims.
In fact it may be the opposite, if she's going in for the first kiss.
True love.
"So, do you want to be my boyfriend?"
"I don't think I've been able to describe myself as a boy for a good fifty years now. But yes."
Who says romance is dead?
Me. Time to stop flirting and get on with that first opportunity.
