The frisbee thing reminded me of one incident that happened little over a year ago. We were frisbee golfing with my PE class, and since I hate nearly all kinds of sports except rowing and swimming, I just tried to slack off without the teacher noticing. Then one of those rich, snobby girls of our class, who of course had their own, better frisbees, lost it into a ditch. They tried to dig it up with a tree branch, but no success. I went there, and after watching them for a while, I thrust my hand in muddy water and dug it out, even though my arm got dirty all the way to the shoulder. Teacher thanked me for "showing bravery" and after that, I had something to tease the snobs about when they bullied me.

I'm so so so bad at updating this. Really sorry everyone. I'm determined to finish, though, so here's a very belated next chapter.

Orchid, The Third

Oh yes, another double birthday. It's basically birthday central round here, because there are too many sims in this house and there will probably always be too many sims in this house. If you remember, and I wouldn't blame you if you don't, these two are Sepia (on the left) and Apricot (on the right). They're part of the third generation, but as they're both werewolves like their mum they don't qualify as heirs. Their mum, Jazzberry Jam, is current pregnant for the second time in the hope of a vampire heir.

I've included two pictures of them as I'm really bad at taking photos of my non-heirs. Storytelling has not been a priority in this file.

Here's teenaged Apricot, with for some reason grey eyebrows. Poor girl.

And teenaged Sepia. I actually kinda wish she was my heir, she's pretty. Those weird cheekbones of Pappy's are still going strong, but somehow they seem to quite suit Sepia.

A grumpy pregnant Jazz sits and grumps.

Though I'm not sure her bumps big enough for it actually to be difficult for her to walk. I think she might be exaggerating for sympathy.

She's going to get none round here. We've just got a slightly crazy family matriarch, a vampire with serious politeness issues, and two teenagers busy being teenagers.

And all of those aforementioned people spend ridiculous amounts of time sat on this sofa doing absolutely nothing. Why I don't know. Faulty AI, or possibly they're just trying to make me wonder why.

Another shot of Sepia just because she looks cool.

Sepia expressing wonderment that her mum's pregnant. Grandmother-to-be-for-the-third-time Cerise is mainly only bothered that they're in front of her telly.

Cerise: You make a good door, but not a very good window.

Jazz: Somebody move this chair, or I'm going to give birth onto it!

Baby number one. Meet Copper. ANOTHER werewolf.

So she's getting aged up. Can't be dealing with babies.

Also here tonight is Pappy's ghost. Cerise catches up with him about life in the madhouse, and makes sure he's aware of all his kids and grandkids doing. She also tells him all about where she's been shopping that week, and what the neighbours are up to.

The girls do their homework. Just because they don't have to get on the honour roll doesn't mean they don't have to do homework. Education is important, kids, even calculus can be useful in the real world. Just think of all that integration you'll need to do.

But, lastly for this very overdue episode, our heir. Pink, and a vampire! This is Orchid. Welcome Orchid. Welcome to your life as a dynasty kid.

Welcome back, Ariana!  I totally understand with birthday central.  I had one generation have six kids before we finally got an heir.  Sepia turned out really pretty though.  Glad to see that you did get your heir, Orchid.  And she's a rainboo/vampyboo!   ;D

How lucky to get a pink vampire! I find it most amusing that the spares have not been rainboos. I hope the trend continues.

Six! My most before a heir so far is four, which is this lot. I'm not sure I'd have the patience for six.

And hooray for the pink vamp!

I haven't saved her at the moment, but I'll get her out of the game for you and put her in the swap shop. And yep, hooray for a pink vamp!

Yeah, I'm enjoying it while it lasts. I kinda wanted a rainbow colour that wasn't pink, but I'll take pink happily!

Also, random, but I finally remembered why Apricot has grey eyebrows. If you age down Pappy, he has brown hair and inexplicably grey eyebrows.

It's a blast from the past! Just not the best one. :P

Aha! That makes sense! I never aged down Pappy, just extended his elder years a bit, so I never noticed. It would explain a lot.

Desperately Playing Catch-Up

So here's another update, as generation four is now a teenager in my game and if I leave it any longer to post these chapters I'll forget what they're even about.

One of the things that constantly frustrates me in The Sims is how, the moment somebody dies, everyone has to run over and look. That makes a lot of sense if it's a family member or friend, but a lot less sense if it's just some random paparazzi that only Dante in the entire household has in his relationship bar.

And that's only because he heckles the paparazzi constantly. This sim is about as antisocial as you can get.

And he's the only one not staring at the poor paparazzi dying too.

I'm not sure this is what they mean when they say grandmas like to play with their grandkids.

Oh look. It's another birthday! But whose?

I might stop taking screenies of birthdays soon. There's only so many times I can get excited about a shot of a sim blowing out some candles in the exact same kitchen.

And yes, I am too lazy to set up a table for cake elsewhere.

It was Copper. Here she is as a child with the grey eyebrows I now know come from her grandad Pappy.

And just to save us all some time, here she is as a teen.

Birthday three of the update is Orchid. We have a gorgeous pink-and-purple toddler. The lilac hair is my addition, just so I can quickly tell the difference between all the pink sims I have floating around the place.

I really really need to stop doing birthday updates. I'm aware this is number four now, and for that I'm truly sorry.

Orchid's not impressed about it, either.

But, luckily for her, she doesn't have grey eyebrows.

She's a pretty cute kid. Thanks to the vampirism she's much lighter in the wardrobe mode than she is in real sim-life. She's also quite clearly got those cheekbones...

Look how far her mouth opens.

I considered having the next generation be Imaginary Friends, seeing as Orchid has a doll and I don't want to leave it to the last generation and then them not get a doll. It's worth pointing out at this point that that's the extent of my strategy. But then I found a sort-of-original townie witch, so I'll be using them instead for Orchid's spouse. Nothing like an arranged marriage.

The traditional bit of tutoring for the heir. Though, she seems to know more than Cerise who's supposedly tutoring her.

Orchid showing her gran how to answer the question.

I like to bring back the older non-heirs from time to time, as I always feel slightly guilty about chucking them out without any kind of family or even caring that much about what they do next. Cerise meets up with her daughter Bittersweet from time to time. I may have lost her sister Almond. Oops.

Apricot and Sepia become Young Adults in the fifth and sixth birthdays of this update. Here's Sepia as an adult. I'll download her when I next go into the game, and make a swap shop thread for all the Crayolas so far.

I liked Bittersweet, mostly because she was neglected and I'm idiotically contrary and refuse to like things for logical reasons. Still, I liked her. Cool to see her again.
I'm not pedantic! I just believe in precision of language.

Orchid is pretty! And arranged marriages are basically essential for a Life States Dynasty. My generation 2 had her spouse picked out at birth, and generation 4's spouse was selected generations before he was born! Hmm. Good thing they like each other.
