Chapter 36 - Champ

Birthday time again!

Epona: Silly Watcher, we just had a birthday!

Things move fast in this dynasty, keep up. Now... ♫ happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you! ♪

Bess: Arrggh! Too many birthdays! TOO MANY!!

Bess, sweetie, could you turn around a little? The camera can't see your face.

Ah, that's better.

And now it's Epona's turn.

Epona gets a straighter hair cut and a cooler pair of glasses and the workaholic trait to go with equestrian, artistic and friendly. She looks so much like Benni!
(I'm sure legitpicklegirl will be happy about that, lol)

Bess gets a whole new look, she's a bit of a wild one now. She got the party animal trait to go with couch potato, perfectionist and virtuoso.

Epona received a rather special birthday present. Meet Champ, her trusty steed! I have no idea why there is a random singed paparazzo cleaning his hooves though...

It did take her sometime to work out how to get on and off the horse effectively, but I'm sure she's going to be an excellent rider. She has to be. The dynasty is riding on it. Get it? Riding on it? My jokes are wasted on you guys.

They're not the only ones that have been growing though! Little Dan had his very first birthday. He's almost the opposite of Ariel in looks. Ariel has her father's hair colour but most of her face looks like Minnie. Dan has Minnie's hair and right now, he's looking like a mini Mickey.

The girls went to their prom but nothing particularly exciting happened, other than Epona being crowned Prom Queen. Perhaps Bess lost out on the award because she forgot to take a shower before she left?

Bess: Hey! Actually, you might be right.

There's a lot of love in the house at the moment and most of it is autonomous. Hunter and Benni know their time is running out so they have to spend as much time in each other's arms as they can.

Mickey and Minnie are still deeply in love and always find time for each other, even when they have to look after Dan and Mickey has to go out to perform Sing-a-Grams. It's true love... even if FamilyEcho doesn't allow cousins to be paired on family trees! Seriously, what is wrong with cousins getting married and having kids?

They're all so cute, I just want to hug them all! 

Ariel had her YA birthday and aged into a beautiful young lady. She decided to keep her awesome mermaid look because... it's awesome!!

She graduated (in the kitchen) and won 'Most likely to take over the world' though I have no idea why. Maybe people think that mermaid wannabes would make good rulers?

And then tragedy struck.

Benni begged for more time. She hadn't spent as much time as she could have with the girls and she was so fond of young Dan. But, as usual, Grim wouldn't budge.

Her guitar was placed by her grave as she was so fond of music. Dear Benni, rest in peace.

Even though he hadn't known her very well, Champ was very upset by Benni's death. Epona was there to comfort him and he did the same for her.

But it was Hunter who was suffering most. He had just lost his soul mate. His dear sister Minnie gave him a shoulder to cry on.

Ariel is super gorgeous! Epona and Bess are very sweet, I disliked Epona's hair colour at first but somehow it just fits her as a teen.

Epona's hair is the same as Hunter's which is the same as Lizzie's, which I actually altered slightly because it wasn't a very nice yellow colour. But I agree, it does look better on her now.

Chapter 37 - Julian

Just about everyone in the household had a birthday and they were all very close together. Minnie, Mickey and Ted the dog all became elders.

Minnie & Mickey: Nooooooo!

Ted: *howls*

Their hair was dyed to their old colours (well, they're close enough) and they got new outfits. They don't look too bad, if I do say so myself.

Their son Dan also aged up into a child and gained a rather unusual haircut. At least his eyes are visible.

And then came Epona and Bess' YA birthdays. No more school but there's plenty of work for Epona to come.

Epona: *sigh* It sucks being a dynasty heir. It's all work and no play.

Well... yes, you're right. You life sucks.

Their adult makeovers aren't that different from their teen wardrobes but Epona did get a nice horse pattern for her playsuit.

Julian: Good day, or should I say goodnight! I am Julian and I have been employed by a Mr H. Newman to serve as your butler. May I ask your name?

Epona: (What a cute accent!) Hi, I'm Epona. I'm Hunter's daughter and the third heir to the Newman dynasty. It's very nice to meet you, Julian.

It didn't take long before love started to blossom between Epona and Julian.

But she wasn't the only one. Bess met a very nice girl named Athena.

However, the family are stalked by paparazzi so their private date didn't stay private for very long. Poor Bess.

However Athena wasn't the only new girl in Bess' life. She also adopted a daughter, named Mary, who has the coolest purple eyes. Purple eyes!! Of course she got a purple wardrobe to match.

Ariel decided to leave the house because she wanted her own place. It was starting to get a bit crowded with her parents, uncle, brother and her cousins all living under one roof. Bye, Ariel!

Part of me wishes that too. She's gorgeous and I loved black-haired Sims (part of the reason I chose Fjord to be a co-founder). I do really like Epona though, she's really sweet

I saved a bunch of crazy eye colour in CAS so now most of my randomly generated townies have crazy coloured eyes. It was a little trick that Pam talked about in one of her stories, I think.

Chapter 38 - Unicorn

Dan: Okay, so it's left foot, right foot, spin...

Dan? Mary? When did you age up?

Mary: When you weren't watching. We do a lot of things when your back is turned.

Dan and Mary are first cousins once removed (had to look that up on the 'Cousins' page on Wikipedia) so that means...

Dan: I bought you some flowers, Mary.

Mary: Oh, they're purple, my favourite colour! How did you know?

Dan: Lucky guess I suppose...

Dan: Mary...

Mary: Yes?

Epona went out to go unicorn spotting. It's like bird watching but with unicorns, not birds. And you don't watch them, you spot them...
Because she has the equestrian trait, Epona had no trouble interacting with 'Coco' the Unicorn.

She also tried some firefly catching but didn't manage to trap anything in that mysterious glowing jar...

Hello, Athena. Do you have any idea what is going on here?

Athena: Bess, your stove is on fire, your sink is spraying water everywhere and your ceiling is talking to me!

After the fire was put out and the sink repaired, Bess threw a party for the family and their closest friends. She had something important to do.

Bess: Athena, I know we haven't been dating for very long but --

Hunter? Who are you dancing with?

Bess: Watcher!! So, Athena, what I am trying to say is... will you marry me?

Athena: Oh, Bess, what a beautiful ring! Of course I'll marry you.

Mickey: I hate parties.

The girl that Hunter was dancing with is called Roberta. I thought they looked so nice together and I know that Benni wouldn't want Hunter to be lonely. After all, she will always be his soulmate. So I decided to give their relationship a go.


Hunter: You decided?

In less happy news, both the family's pets died, very close together. First was Ted the dog, but I wasn't notified, the camera didn't pan, so I didn't actually see him go. It took me a long time just to find his grave, but when I did, I placed it in the family graveyard. Rest in Peace, little doggy!

Next was Champ, Epona's horse. He didn't live as long as he should have, as there was a weird glitch that made him age to an elder just after he was adopted, even though he was supposed to be a foal.

Cissy the cat turned up for the event.

And so Champ rode away into the afterlife, with Grim on his back. While they are sad, horse deaths are very dramatic!

R.I.P Champ. 

Epona rang the adoption centre and asked if there were any nice adult horses available. They told her that they were sending over their very best.

Meet Ion, who of course is named after the type of atom/molecule, NOT because it makes 'Champion' when you add it onto the name of Epona's old horse. No, no, that would be a silly reason to name a horse Ion...

I was trying to make this chapter as funny as I could as I don't really feel that the story is at the same standard as it used to be. I feel like I'm just telling it in a dull, monologue type way. Also, it doesn't seem to fit and flow very well, it jumps too much. Constructive criticism & comments would be great, I need to know how to improve and make the story better.

If you didn't bring it out, I'd seriously think that you named your horse after an atom...

Now that everyone is getting romantic, now we need to see where Epona's romantic life will lead! Sad that she lost Champ, though.

I apologise for the long hiatus on this story. I'm not having a very good time at the moment and I need to keep away from anything that causes me stress. I love this family and they're great to play but I need to stick to games where there's no chance of doing anything wrong or failing. Epona's requirements are getting me a bit freaked out because she's nearing her adult birthday and I feel like she's got nothing done. I  promise an update will come sometime this month. I've been playing my Random Town Jump a lot, so an update will probably come soon for that, if you want to read one of my stories.

Good lord, have I missed a lot. First of all: BENNI WHY?!?!? *Pounds ground furiously* TOO BEAUTIFUL TO DIE  At least Epona will carry on her genes. Don't worry about my grief, though. Bess is my new muse  I don't know why, probably cause I've never had one, but I always love Sims with black hair.

Little Dan looks like his father who looks like Angel who looks like Fjord. Haha, long line of family. Ariel is very pretty and so is Mary! Congrats to Bess and Athena, and Hunter and Roberta (That cunning man). One woman to another.  I hope things work out between Epona and Julian, though!
