A day late and a dollar short, (again), but even belated Happy Anniversary wishes are meant from my heart.  I was so struggling with learning how to play Sims, and getting rudeness and scorn for being a newbie everywhere else, not to mention having to read profanity!  I almost gave up on Sims and then I stumbled across this forum.  WOW!  Friendly people!  Good advice!  Kindness!  I felt like I had just come home after an exhausting trip and was cuddled and pampered.  I love this forum and all the wonderful, creative, and hard working folks on it.  Thanks so much Carl, Pam, Metro and all you mods who have made this place the great place it is.

I can't really believe it's been so long myself. I'm so glad we started this place and that it has grown to be such a great resource for the Sims Community. I guess we've proven that you can grow into a bigger forum and still have a friendly community and a nice atmosphere. The great members and staff we have here have set the tone for new members and I guess that will never change.

In another year, I hope we're parked on the new domain for The Sims 4 and have that section open, and that all stuff Sims 3 is finalized on the Guide.

Thank you to everyone who has made this project possible, especially our volunteers now and in the past who have dedicated a part of their day to checking in on this place and being involved in making it as great as it is today.

Seabody, your limerick cracked me up and made me google Mowatt, just to check (it's a surname). Thank you for enlightening me to the few words that rhyme with my name... as an adjective gnarled reminds me of the half-dozen keyboards I've gone through the past 4 years.

Happy Birthday Forum.

I love this forum.  It is the first site I open every day and the last one I visit in the evening.

I have come to know, respect and admire many of the people on this site.  I believe that people flock to this site because it has the crème de la crème of the founders.  Without the ethos set by the site founders and the hard work and genius of all involved on that side, this site would be like every other.  It is the people at the top who make it a joy for all members from Nooboo upwards.

So take a bow.  You all deserve a standing ovation!

Happy birthday forum! I have now been here eleven months and wouldn't regret coming here for a moment. Every question I've ever asked has had an answer, the rules are stricter than any other sims forum I have found but they keep this place a community where everyone should be proud to go to. Long live Carl's Sims 3 Guide and Forum!

I joined sometime last year (can't remember exactly when because it feels like I've always been here because everyone is so friendly) and I can't imagine being anywhere else! Woo, happy birthday forum! Seriously, I don't know what I'd do without this place. I've been here just over a year and it's been one of the happiest years of my life. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone who makes this forum so great including Carl, Pam, Metro, all the other moderators and my fellow members who are so kind and helpful all the time. I feel I have made genuine friends here and have learned so much, not just about Sims, but about different people from all around the world. This forum is such a big part of my life and I hope it will stay that way for many years to come until the Sims finally ends and even beyond that time.
