I don't think so. The rule about children born into the house being able to be spouses applies only to kids naturally born into the house. Cloned sims are different from that. But someone might disagree. Anyone else have thoughts?

Actually it is the lifestate dynasty that doesn't allow cloning.  This 4x4 dynasty allows cloning, as long as it is the active heir that does the cloning.  A past player has asked about this and this was my reply to him/her.

@saltpastillen

As long as it is your active heir that clones the DNA to bring in the future spouse, you are good, not breaking any rules.  Just remember it must be your active heir to do the cloning, not anybody else.  Good luck.

Just out of curiosity, who are you planning to clone?  Wondering which townie sim is so good that you want to clone him/her!   :P

They were referring to the heir's parents doing it, not the heir in question who could marry the cloned sim.

So, is it okay to just have a heir's parents clone a baby to use as the heir's spouse or not?

Thanks Trip, didn't see the "parents" part.  No, you can't use the parents to clone baby, it has to be the active heir to clone for his/her spouse.

Strange question, again related to ITF (I didn't get around to it this weekend) - do plumbots have different life stages, or are they on a fixed one, like Simbots?

(Which leads me to ask, which might have been asked previously, but I couldn't find it on my amazing 2 1/2 hours of sleep - if plumbots are on a fixed singular life stage like Simbots, why are Simbots required to leave the household, but plumbots aren't?)

@Shirin

I can answer your question partially.  I do not know if plumbots have different life stage, hopefully someone that plays ITF can help you with this.

As for simbots & plumbots, here is the story:
When Metro first created this dynasty, he copies a lot of the rules from past dynasty (immortal, townie, lifestate), hence the simbots must be release to the wild rule got copied over.  Later ITF xpac released and I managed to convinced the team to allow plumbots, let players have some fun with them - since none of the other dynasty allowed plumbots.  Why not have one dynasty when players can play with the new stuff?  (that was my reasoning).

Will the alien baby be heir?  If they are just household members, then that is fine.  If you want an alien baby as heir, you will need to have your active heir invite an alien spouse into household and do the deeds with him/her to produce alien baby heir.

I was just wondering about abdyction pregnancies that occur accidentally. I have one more question. Are life state elixirs allowed on heirs and founders?

Heirs and founders can't be a life state with an extended lifespan, but if you wanted to make them into a witch with an elixir, that's fine.

I thought they could but only once they're finished with their requirements. :P I already turned one of my founders into a werewolf once the heir was born.

My understanding was that life could be extended but not by changing to banned life states. Moderators?

Once all requirements are completed, then you are free to use whatever methods you wish to extend an heir's life.

I was talking about witches actually. I love that life state. :) So if we want to extend an heirs life after their child is born, we can change their life state?
