Hazelnut - is one a reincarnated ghost?

Yes.   It was also the case with the other couple who couldn't marry.

Sometimes you can't marry them unless you travel. After the nooboo is born, travel and see if they can marry.

How very odd.  Thank you for telling me.  I'll try it  ;D.

Edit: It worked!  Thanks again.

After completing my Life States Dynasty I've been kind of lost and wandering when it comes to Sims. I need another challenge, so I've decided to try out a 4x4 to give my mind a challenge - and man am I having fun just trying to figure out the skills I want to use! I have a few questions/clarifications I'm unsure about and I wanted to double check with before I even start so I can have a set goal in mind.
1. This is probably going to sound stupid but I don't want to mess up at the start: can I start with a founder being a Townie (single, unmarried, lives alone) and then marry another townie in or does it have to be a couple to start?
2. For the townies, is it still ok (as I read it once was) to bring your household funds down to $4000 THEN sell the furniture within the Townie house?
3. Does your first founder have to max a unique career and have skill challenges and opportunities or is it just the heirs following (I'm talking very first founder and spouse)?
4. On the topic of skills: I'm assuming it's ok to split skills with more than 3 skill challenges up, right? An example would be to have a Sim max logic, achieve both kids/skill tutoring and the potions and when another heir comes along whose skill only has 2 skill challenges (like fishing) to let them learn logic (and potentially max it) for one of the other two skill challenges SO LONG AS no one has used the Logic Skill Certificate as their career reward?
5. On that note of "so long as" in the previous question/clarification: as long as no skill certificates are used as career rewards any skill is sort-of free gain for anyone as long as they don't override the skill challenges that belonged to someone else, correct?

I'm sorry, these have likely been clarified a million times throughout this thread, I'm just a stickler for the rules and I want to make sure that if I'm doing a run for the HOF that I don't fail my first 5 tries on human error alone (I'd rather it be bad luck or unhappy circumstances to end it rather than it be my own silly fault).
Thank you to the challenge team for coming up with great challenges. They really keep me busy and very entertained! I look forward to starting this challenge and hopefully completing it too!

Oh shoot! Edit to ask: Plastic Surgery. I'm not fond of the EA middle-slider face (it's pretty, but I like variety in my game), and since we're allowed to use life-extending techniques - is it allowed to have your heir's spouse go through plastic surgery before having the next heir?

1. You can start with 1 townie, then bring another in within the allotted time. Or you can start with a couple. Or you can start with 1 CAS and bring in a townie. Or you can start with a CAS couple. The primary thing is that there are no bloodline offspring or pregnancies at the start of the game. So the male townies who have pregnant girlfriends are off limits, as are the pregnant girlfriends. Or wives.

2. Yes, that's fine.

3. No, because there's no way your founders could do that within the required 4 days to Try for Baby.

4. Yes, that's correct. So if neither one used the Logic Certificate, then your fishing heir could also do the logic for finding 20 stars, or grandmaster chess.

5. That is also my interpretation.

6. Yes, that should be fine. Just do not use the genie wish prior to begetting the heir. Also keep in mind, if you decide to use potions or elixirs to restore youth, they can potentially bug out.

Because no one answered your plastic surgery question, plastic surgery is okay for spouses and basically anyone but heirs (and there's nothing saying you can't do it to an heir after they finish their requirements). Death to generic faces. ;)

*points Trip back to the #6 in her post* ;)

Ok, yeah, I should have said "plastic surgery" instead of "that."

Just don't beat me with that piece of Twinbrook swamp!

Oops. I probably should have actually counted Livvie's questions before reading your post. :P

Thank you so much for all of your responses! :)
You'll likely be seeing more of me when I find some weird bug in my game that's causing me issues (fingers crossed that I don't have issues, but we all know that's a fools dream). Onwards to Twinbrook to start the game!

Has anyone had the issue of career performance not rising with one of their heirs? I'm on heir #2  and she's in the science career, and suddenly her career bar will no longer go up so she can't get promoted. It's her only requirement left and I'm worried  :-\ All of her metrics are perfect, and so is her mood.

Next time your sim goes to work, try the 'relax-mode' at work. This will trigger the meter to move again. I've had this happen multiple times to my sims and this seems to work.

It is almost time for moving to the third town, I did a random roll to get the next location and it picked Union Cove. Should be ok I hope, otherwise time to restart again.

But I do have some questions that someone who knows the town well might be able to answer.

1. Is it actually possible to complete the simbot chain there?
2. Does all the bars in the city actually make it possible to complete the challenge to learn all drink recipes?
Or should I see if I can either squeeze them in or go for another challenge?

1. Yes, because Union Cove is designated as a regular town, as opposed to a city like Bridgeport (which is what renders the Simbot chain impossible there).

2. Yes, because UC has all of the Late Night bar/club/lounge lots.

Really?!  I wish I'd known this about a year ago :).  Thanks.
