Can the founders and spouses share the same job as an heir? I mean, is the unique career maxed just for the 16 different heirs?

Spouses, yes. Founders (and spouses of founders), no.

Correct. It also applies to founders and the founders' spouses (the spouses of heirs that move to a new town count as founding spouses).

It looks like you're replying to yourself, Trip, in a totally serious manner (I suspect there was a deleted post somewhere).

Thank you for letting me know!

That would be my fault! I realised after I made the post that the answer to my question was obvious, because I just rephrased my last question. I thought I'd removed it before anyone saw it though!

My game keeps crashing even after I removed the premium content that I thought was causing the problem. Is it all right to evict the family and move them back into the house?

Bah.

I'm trying to complete the Free the Genie opp for my moving heir, it's the very last thing he has to do. He froze the lamp, he scorched it, and he's hauled it into the mausoleum at least 2 dozen times (hurray for moodlet managers). Yet, the last stage simply does not complete. He just seems to continually find enraged bear zombies.

May I count the opp as completed? I'd like to get him moved and married and having a child before he hits his elder birthday (in 4 days).

Edit: Restarted the game, caches cleared, all that fun stuff has been done. He's an alchemist, and I did complete Alchemic Mastery, I also gave him cooking and fishing, but does he get those opps? Nooooo... :'(

I've officially ended my Townie DecaDynasty and want to start this one.  Is it just me, or is this Dynasty much more complicated than the others?  Do I need to read through all 36 pages of comments to understand everything or will just having and following the current set of rules suffice?  Have players of this Dynasty enjoyed it?

Sorry about your Townie DecaDynasty corrupted file.  I don't think there is any need to read through all 36 pages of comments, the current set of rules should suffice.  If it is unclear, let us know and we will correct the ruleset to make it crystal clear.

I read through the ruleset and I didn't see anything omitted that would necessitate reading through the whole thread. I'm not about to recommend that task to anyone. :P

May your 4x4 fare better on the technical side of things.

Pam I am so sorry about your DecaDynasty. I know you are not crazy about mods, but maybe something like Overwatch could fix your file. It might be worth a try. Trip and others who know about mods could walk you through possibly repairing your file and then you could just delete the mods and carry on. You'd still be good for the HOF.

I'm sorry about your DecaDynasty, Pam.

In regards to your questions, I agree with Nutella & Trip in that the ruleset should cover everything. And as someone who had to restart as people quit aging at generation 6, I still find it enjoyable (generation 5 is working on her requirements) - I especially enjoy the opportunity to change towns, and infuse fresh blood into the family.

(Some day, though, I will find a way to convince Metro to let us move houses within a neighborhood! ;D)
